I'm sorry, mate. All those rescue bots have long been turned into pickle jars by dr Morocco.

With the new year, comes new rescue Bots Lore!(And a little Boulder redesign)

So, here's a little preview of what Dr Morocco has been up to in my AU. Capturing all the bots he can get his hands on and storing them all in stasis. Why?

Well, that's a question for the upcoming post, explaining his whereabouts and various motivations.

Also, almost every bot in the stasis pods is unique. And if I had to suffer drawing like, 50 unique bots, so do ya'll. Two of the bots you can completely see are the same. I dare ya'll to find this pair of twins. (But any bot who you can't clearly see (like in the 2 blurred rows towards the bottom), or if any of their parts are cut off by the image cropping, they're disqualified because I honestly lost track of those while drawing so I don't know if there are any identical ones there ;-;)

So enjoy redesign Dr Morocco, and also just some basics for how he works in the au

So he’s not immortal and he ain’t from the Victorian era, the things that happened with Verne happened …but with first Morocco, now hear me out

There have been four Dr Moroccos, the first one, his great granddad was the one who first came to Griffin Rock and met Jules Verne and stole the Verne device, but he never made a the machine of everlasting life and shit. Instead he kept it and continued to work in the field of technology and started large works, and had a child, he was 31 around the time the photo of him and Verne would exist.

Doctor Morocco II was the one that handled a lot of early work when the wars began and started. He is the one during the war era of Griffin Rock, where they were just making weapons and everything related to it. He’s the closest to personality as our current Morocco. Every Morocco had an ego, and can be dangerous, but he had an outlet for his megalomania.

Morocco III was the one during the black files era of Griffin Rock, where Griffin Rock basically cut off its connection to the government and just decided to make all sorts of bullshit that lead to the the best left forgotten room, and the island of misfit tech. He was also the one to handle the Time Machine. He ended up dying rather early, leaving behind a young son that inherited the genius but power hungry of his predecessors.

Which leads up to the current Morocco, the one that would be the direct parallel to the canon one. He and Greene both became head scientists for Griffin Rock, and one of their biggest projects they decided to revive, was the Time Machine. For Greene it was for science and to give to the people and show the level of human creativity.

For Morocco he saw the power and profit it gave, he wanted the world to know his name. …Unformtuely the machine overloaded, it began to suck everything in the general vicinity into it. Morocco was sent through and brought to the past. And the present basically deleted him from history and from memory, so as far as anyone knows, the Morocco line died at three.

Morocco landed during the time of his grandfather and basically has the worst time of his life trying to figure out a way back. But also influencing and observing things from the past to take advantage of in the future and use to build back up his standing and relationships. Sure to him it was purely for stepping stones of power, but he did care on some level for the people who considered him a friend

And once the rescue bots show up, right when the volcano malfunctioned, it powered back on the Time Machine, right where Morocco was and he jumped right through. He expected a warm welcome, but all he found was a world and time that forgot him. So this just fucked him up more, not only was he trapped in the 1860s to 1890s for almost 30 years, but the world forgot he ever existed. So yeah he is having a generational crash out and all that power and greed and scientific knowledge just came together, especially when he saw the rescue bots, now that, ..that was something he could do

And his actions end up following closely to his canon self, though with a lot more personal stakes for him when it comes to Greene and Charlie, and basically anyone who would’ve known him before the time travel. He uses his knowledge and things he learned of specific placements of items to get money fast and fund his projects and inventions to take control over Griffin Rock. He’s also 10 times more down for murder now that he doesn’t have a kids tag on him
