Fallen London spoilers. Suncrab champion. I really really like high wilderness judgement lore especially. I'm worried about a mountain. Also big fan of the masters. I made a sideblog to store my hyperfixations.
Hello! This is @crow-caller's fallen london side blog! There will be spoilers for like everything, but I do tag new content spoilers. Tags to block: #railway spoilers, #firmament spoilers, #fallen London spoilers.
Fallen London recently became my hyperfixation and special interest! Particularly the lore and world as a whole. I love thinking about narrative parallels, allusions, and themes... ohoho <3 My fav subjects are Judgements, the Bazaar, Zee gods (esp Stone!), Masters, and devils. Here's a masterpost of all my lore and theorizing!
I'm an infamous Forbidden Shipper. I usually call it Suncrab, originally as shorthand but it helps to have a specific name (easier to block too!). I love thinking about their dynamic and potential in so many ways, but I enjoy it most as a true star crossed romance... I believe in those freaks, I really do.
I write a suncrab fanfic called Creatures of Heaven, which I also do as a comic adaptation.
I have a few OCs! I like them!! I will actually do more art and writing about them eventually, but would love more excuses to talk about them.
Personally, I'm... a person on the Internet. I'm in my late 20s, I'm autistic, I'm disabled. I have big issues with memory, so if I forget to reply to you, please don't be afraid to nudge me. I genuinely am often unstuck from linear time.
What do your ocs think about The Bazaar? Do they know it is alive? Do they know its story? What do they think of its history, its actions?
My ocs cover a spectrum. I don't have any crabkissers somehow but I don't have any haters... Enoch knows all about it, and truly doesn't care— it stays out of Enoch's business and Enoch will ignore its. Grietje finds the story romantic and tragic and sympathetic, though frowns at the cost (but feels too helpless to resist to let it weigh on her). Livid-as-Lapis believes 'Sol has a secret lover, that's why this weird cave was built' and it makes total sense, but finds the idea of dating a postman confusing. What would you even talk about?? And Mikhail thinks The Bazaar is hilariously pathetic and leaves her opinion there as she takes a long drag off her cigarette.
With last chapter of firmly coming up, idk how and it wouldn't make sense but I'm voting we get the bazaar up in this catastrophe. I just like it and want to see it. Thank you.
Enoch has deep interest in any Mr Cards because it is way too interested about methods of transformation. In the techniques of the Masters compared to how it is rebuilding itself.
Power as a reward from the Marvellous was a route it nearly took. So I think it would also be tirelessly smug about any superiority it can find in what it did instead. Weird zee monster > some big bat.
Suncrab headcanon dynamic that is perhaps my fav rn is. Sol and the Bazaar as Correspondants, researchers, pursing the same questions from different angles. That no matter who began the relationship, they thought of it as an experiment. A question of love.
Sol, who is The Chain, who sees all and believes it sees everything. It speaks in law and perfect reality, and studies love as a phenomenon— an equation of orbit, a study in power and trust.
The Bazaar, who will never be divine and who practices creation instead of speaking it. Who chases love, and studies it in the practical— takes and extracts and edits and writes.
Some world lore for my Judgement OCs The Celadon and The Lapis! Hespiderean on discord server was talking about their OC Judgement and its Court...
So, here's a bit about the planet these two ruled, and some of the celestial sphere fundamental to that.
-
Kingdom
The Writhing Coast
(A kingdom of ever changing landscape, it is approximately 50/50 land and water. There are almost no consistent landmarks, and no mountains or valleys. Mortal beings are adaptable, varied, and prone to mutation— most have complex life cycles including multiple stages of life, death, and renewal.)
Judgements— Married binary
The Kings of Wither and Bloom
The Celadon, Lord of the Roaming Earth
The Lapis, Lord of the Roiling Seas
(They share an interest in life and death and the stages between. They married shortly after meeting, recognising in each other a great similarity. They are deeply in love and very codependent.)
Moon
The Tide-Bearer
Spirits of The Court
(Born purely to manage the ever shifting tides of the land, she knows of little else beyond her tireless task. Some moons are Daughters but she, while born from the suns, is seen as merely a necessary tool.)
The Shearsmith, Who Claims the Ready
(The overseer of the harvest, it watches the ever shifting lives and souls of the living and determines when is the time to reap)
The Shearbearers, Who Assist the Ready
(Underlings of the Shearsmith, they assist in the above task. They are born from the Shearsmith when 'ready', falling off its body like fruit from a vine.)
The Needle-Brush Wanderer, Hand of The Lords
(A winding, serpentine spirit who endlessly paints an ever-changing landscape of swirling sandbanks and streams along the surface.)
It of the Dredge and It of the Rise, Who Till the Soil
(Counterweighted beings fused to a length of chain, when one falls the other rises— they dive into the loam and silt, and rise again in geyser-bursts. Their role is to prevent stagnant build up below the surface)
The Herbalist
(A Grand Devil who assesses souls produced and advises the Kings. She seeks exciting new flavours, and records the conditions that create them in souls. The majority of devils who served the court were lost in the Revolution, but while the Herbalist does not enjoy the authority of the Kings, she loves her work far too much to rebel.)
Messengers
The Mutable Messenger
(The Lapis’ favourite Messenger, brought from its previous kingdom when it married The Celadon. Subjected to many minor experiments, such as housing new strains of moss, it is overly relaxed and docile. Unlike others of its species, it is able to take long rests without moving, and requires such naps after long journies— due to favouritism, it is allowed and The Lapis has granted it a lovely pillow.)
The Prosperous Herald
(The Celadon’s primary Messenger, its long service and acknowledgement from its Lord have given it pride and ego. It does not like the Mutable Messenger at all but does not say or do anything because The Lapis is now its Lord too.)
Aeginae
Drought, The Prince of Compliance
Famine, The Prince of the Watch
Stagnation, The Prince of the Eyes
(Draconic overseers. They are rarely used by the Kings, and are more watchers against them. The Kings are not Chainbreakers, but if a creation mutates in an interesting, slightly illegal way… they are curious to see it develop and what they can learn from it. If the Aeginae notice, the Kings pretend they hadn't noticed the aberration, and allow the dragons to remove it.)

The Lapis is better (?) known as my OC Livid Loveday, a human vessel for The Lapis exploring the Neath. One day, The Celadon became sick, and the pair could not bear the idea. They engineered a method of sending Lapis to the Neath, knowing only that it was a lawless, hidden place... and that they would need something impossible to save Celadon.
In The Lapis' absense, the kingdom has fallen into a state of creeping rot and relentless rain. The world is steadily swallowed by a saline sea, its singular star clouded with despair and fear....
I have an unfinished comic depicting this but it's important you know The Lapis and The Celadon met and immediately got married. Rather than complimentary domains, both are interested in the cycle of life, death, rebirth, and rot— they're really so similar they truly fell into a deeply codependent relationship day one and haven't ever looked back. They moved in together and started a binary orbit over a new kingdom and have only ever agreed and Yes-And'd.
They don't get invited to many parties anymore, because they refuse to do anything alone and spend a lot of group conversations focused only on each other. It's awkward for everyone else. Plus they're really into talking about like, mud and silt and worms instead of drama.
It's also really important to say all this and then go, well, that's how it was. The Celadon is dying, left alone while The Lapis searches for a miracle. The grief is probably not good for their health.
I'm looking to run a small DND 5e based campaign starting whenever we can agree on a date/time— I'm UK based so usually like 6pm for me, 1pm eat, but it is flexible based on players....
I'm using a module with the premise of "you've inherited a gloomy manor in a cursed isolated hamlet, you have one year to turn things around and pay tax to the crown or they'll seize it". Been wanting to do a town revitalisation kinda thing with light adventuring for a while.
Eventually when the FL ttrpg is out I'll wanna play/run that, but a short ish campaign would be fun. Idk if you know anyone who'd be interested in this or if you are— dm me?
I still it would be very funny to have TemTum (underzee hermit crab with city on back) fall madly in love with the bazaar (bigger crab),
and a world event where we must desperately try to convince Temtum to stop barrelling towards London full speed to attempt courtship
Because the bazaar is 100% territorial and Not into this hermit crab. it will definitely murder Temtum and all who live on it. And in doing so probably cause an earthquake as it moves around to free a claw from under wolfstack docks to perform the killing blow
