I’m not sure what to call this one. I was just going for a certain feeling and atmosphere.

It’s been a long time since I’ve posted on tumblr. Years, in fact. Honestly, things got way too toxic for me here. Some of it was my fault. I was at a time in my life where I had a lot to get out of my system, and I was very isolated at home. This site kind of became a dumping ground for me, and that did not go well. And some people were also really awful. But I’ve gotten a lot more distance from all of that. And I’m in a better place now. Maybe this could become a fun place to share my art and my thoughts again and connect with new people. We shall see…

“Phase”

This one took a year to finish! I had painted it over a year ago, but there was something missing that I couldn’t put my finger on. I finally figured out how to finish the painting. I’m really happy with it now.

“Monument to Zap Cat”

Zap Cat has visited many alien worlds. This planet of little red cats took a bit too seriously the exaggerated stories that he told of his exploits. 🐱

This was a pet portrait commission that I did a couple weeks ago. This was a lot of fun to paint!

I spent a lot of time throughout late November and early December up at Artspace in Shreveport. My art and Christmas ornaments were for sale there throughout the Christmas shopping season, and I would go up there once or twice a week to do a painting live just to engage customers more.

This is one of my favorite ones that I did during that time. I call it “Sing Chiors of Angels”. It is currently on display at the Fat Calf Boucherie.
