anon asks: being tiny & scares (how to help! little tricks and tips! 💗)
being tiny and scared can be a horrible overwhelming feeling to experience, so here are some tips and tricks on how to help <3.
having a safe place to go when you feel overwhelmed & scared can be so beneficial! <3
this can be anywhere too! personally mine is a bathroom & our bedroom where everything feels familiar and safe <3.
but everyone’s is different!
you could even create a den to help when things get tough! fill it when your favourite blankey & a couple of plushies to make it feel more safe and comforting <3.
i’m an big believer than music can help lift and put down a mood, so having a comforting playlists that can help when things get too much or too overstimulating can help so so much <3
even if it’s just peaceful sounds or a breathing technique video, use the ambiance and take a couple of seconds to catch your breath and calm down <3
each persons comfort thing is different- but it helps in a similar way <3
i know a lot of littles have a comfort plushie, im more of a blanket fan as it helps with my sensory issues too!
but holding your comfort thing close when times are tough can help you ground yourself through a panic attack or a meltdown <3
having it around you or close to you could help your little brain know that things are going to be okay <3.
if you’re like me, writing and physically getting things out of your system could help so so much <3.
maybe hold a ‘destruction journal’ where you write things down to get them out of your head! it doesn’t need to make sense- as long as it’s doing it’s job and it works then that’s all that matters <3.
in the journal you could also keep two separate pages for triggers & charts! <3
on the trigger / chart page you could work out words or scenarios which trigger meltdowns or panic attacks! this could help you in the future to avoid certain events! <3
please mark good days though as well to keep your mood up! <3
take it a day at a time.🌙
bad days will happen unfortunately <3
but if we take them one day at a time, and keep fighting through those dark days! we’ll get there in the end! i promise! <3
