New York City. The Big Apple. Home of the dreamers. It’s the center of the universe for every ambitious artist in the world. Hundreds of young adults pack up their belongings, and move to the Concrete Jungle, desperate to make their dreams come true. Most of them won’t make it and only a select few will get past an open call. But, what about the hand full that actually have a chance? This was the inspiration behind Showtime’s new reality TV show, “Stars Align”. The hour-long, weekly special follows the lives of kids between eighteen and twenty-five years of age as they aspire their muse. Cameras follow their every move - from making new friends and finding work to being scrutinized by a gossip blog and swarmed by paparazzi. So, what’s it like to spend every day auditioning? How does it feel to be rejected from a role? How can they juggle jobs and living with several other hopefuls? Their audience is about to find out.

IMPORTANT:

So, I've been thinking about this for a couple of days, and I feel like it's time to close the RP. It's been such a great run and I couldn't be any happier. I love you all. Thank you for sticking with us for so long. I've had the time of my life writing with you and forming friendships. I hope we can all stay in touch and continue writing together! 

I've moved to Runaway Resort. It's being run by Maia and Brooklyn, and honestly, it's an amazing roleplay. I never get tired of getting on and writing with the players there. I really encourage you all to apply, so we can stick together and start fresh with new characters and plots!

Attention, cast members! Starting today, July 4, 2014, we will be skipping three years. So, our year for future week is now 2037. This, again, will be as if the cast has come together to spend the weekend at their old apartments. That is the same. However, of course, since it's a different year, other things will change. For example: your character's children's age(s) will change, their jobs may change, and their ages will change. 

Plan for the year of 2037, and keep the dash moving! We will still be holding the banquet on Sunday night, and your resumé/speech is due on Sunday night as well. If you currently have any paras that you'd like to keep going throughout the weekend, that's fine. You may do so. However, chats and any new paras need to be set in our newly appointed time.

We've extended Future Week!

Since we weren't able to have the banquet or complete the task, we're making Future Week one week longer! YAY!!!

Below the cut is information on your next task. Please like after reading.

Since it's nearing the end of Future week, I've put together a small task for everyone. If you read the information post about this event, you should've noticed that two things were mentioned: resumé day, and Sunday night's banquet. These are both part of your task. You have the option to choose between writing a resumé or writing a speech.

IF YOU CHOOSE THE RESUME:

This task is to create your character(s) resumé. This basically means that you will write down your character credits. There is no specific format that it's required to be in, but here is an example:

AGAIN - your resumé obviously doesn't have to look like this. There are only so many ways you can format Tumblr posts, so you're welcome to write it out in any way that you'd prefer. However, we suggest that you include a photo (headshot) of your older FC. 

IF YOU CHOOSE THE SPEECH:

This task is to write a speech that your character(s) will make at the banquet. This should be about their time at the reunion, and what they've enjoyed. But, it is not excluded to those two topics. Your character may also speak about what they've learned about themselves and their castmates throughout the week, why they came, etc. 

Your task(s) are due on Sunday, June 29. If you have any further questions/concerns, message the main.
