it was very fun!!!! i think it is one of the fastest works i have done and i really like how it came out

i have sprinkled a bit of my design here... not really usually draw visible face for dust, but i wanted to save his expression from original or smt like it, so yeah

had a thought about rotting apples and then i was watching how to animate in csp... really wanted to animate something since i started to use csp, but i just never did.... until now. i guess nightmare sitting in dark and looking at rotting apple, while projecting himself onto it is really are a good motivation lmao

also i after i designed nightmare papyrus i wanted to redraw a frame from underverse, and only now i finally did it! so here it is

mostly daydream and nightmare, a bit of killer

was feeling some existential dread after last post (although its nothing new, its always like this with new places) but i think im getting better at dealing with it

kinda old sketch from when i was still figuring out designs and was just drawing what will come into my head

so yeah! some baby twins, and some adult ones

my autism has cooked dreamtale designs/au

its all started when i came back (home) to this fandom some months ago and suddenly im here thinking about and drawing undertale aus

i looked at nightmare and (day)dream and became a bit unsatisfied with how they are and this is how this two came to be; also began to write some ideas for possible fic?

a stray thought of papyrus nightmare arrived into my head and now sometimes lives here rent free

so welcome to my ramblings i guess!

(there also some other pics and versions of them under the cut and wall of text!)

also there some grammatical errors on refs, but i dont have enough willpower to redact each picture so sorry bear with me

about nightmare and daydream?

* while daydream and nightmare are looks like sans and papyrus, there really nothing that could make them be like most of their alternantive counterparts, starting from how different their universe from others is and ending with their story, so, mostly they just look like ones

but, nim did make their bodies from underswap, and here she saw us!sans and us! papyrus and just took them as blueprints. because of that nightmares and daydream bodies have core code from underswap skelebros! so they very much unconsciously are mimic their counterparts a bit sometimes

* nightmare and daydream are the embodyiments and conceptual beigns of their respective thing

what does that mean. its means that they in a sense immortal, and existing because positive and negative fellings and emotions exist in multiverse, and positive and negative feelings and emotions exists because daydream and nightmare alive. also only they themselves, nightmare and daydream, can kill each other? something like that ye

so moving to another thing

* why daydream? because i wanted to make paralles between them... night and day in thheir names...

and some inconsistencies in their original designs were bugging me, like, why does night gets moon crescents on his collar, while daydream not? why does night have moon in their crown, while daydream just have.... swirly? curved..? things? so here we are and they have things that i like seeing in them :)

uh more about their designs

* while i was thinking and sketching nighmare i suddenly remembered davey jones from pirates of caribbean, and now nights have tentacle beard. yea. and also dont have lower jaw, sorry baby lol

* there was another design of their crowns, but while i was drawing abovementioned comic i had an epiphany that i will just die trying to draw them each goddam time

the idea was (and still is) that their crowns were created by nim, so its like,, a strudy plant-vine looking thing

here you can look at it!

also i had idea of blooming flowers on crowns but while pretty, its only would make process of drawing it way difficult, so i abandoned it, and made them simpler, but its still,, plant thing

* and they have their own keepsakes from eachother! cape from the flag for daydream (which will later become scarf/hood), and bandana for nightmare

* their bones have a bit of color of their magic, because its quite powerful (their first human bodies were destroyed by their own magic..), so yeah, its quite visible and colors their bones

* also i very like "if in stripes, then they a child", so, yeah, stripes for baby daydream and nightmare!

* nightmares and daydreams current clothes are made out of their old ones, thats why colors (and forms?) are the same

uhh fonts?

* at some point when i was drawing a little comic about them i decided to give them different fonts, so

daydreams font is lucida sans (bc lucid dreams? ;) ), and nights is.. That One Scary Font From Omori, omori_game_2, bc... well he is nightmare.. and its looks kinda like papyrus font...?

here some alternative versions of outfits! (half of it just same ones with/without some details...)
