im a stagehand and rn im working audio for a conference about nematodes. its so incredibly boring but im coping by imagining ryland grace as one of the speakers

fun fact theres a gene in a species of nematode that when turned on just makes it explode

love the idea of like decades or hundreds of years after ryland graces life on erid, earth makes contact with erid and for some reason all of these rock aliens have very earthcoded idioms in their vocab.

like “so far so good” ok that could be a coincidence it makes sense. “we’ll cross that bridge when we get to it” a little more abstract but sure its possible that somehow they came up with an phrase like ours. “best thing since sliced bread” um. how do these aliens know what sliced bread is.

I am in the process of making a tiny stuffed rocky except I am not good at nor experienced in sewing and I do not have a pattern and I am winging it in it's entirety and the only fabric I have is old black t-shirt scraps and I don't have any stuffing so he is also being stuffed with old black t shirt scraps. my fucked up and lumpy emo son who looks terrible.
