It’s absolutely crazy that Merlin has three love interests over the course of the show and Arthur kills one of them, marries the other, and is the third

Merlin can still imagine his laugh and the tone with which he said every jibing comment to Merlin but when merlin tries to put a face to the voice all he can picture is a distant silhouette with fuzzy features and thats why when arthur comes back merlin doesnt know why this strange man looks so familiar but then the man scoffs in disbelief and says "Merlin?!" And Merlins heart stops dead in his chest.
