Don't romanticise eating disorders.
It's not just skinny little girls in tennis skirts and tiny waists. Its:
- guys
- those who are over and average weight
- fragile bones
- pale skin
- hair shedding
- lanugo
- bags under the eyes
- bruises
- self harm urges
- throwing up, even if you don't want to
- constipation
- a loss of trust
- headaches and sore throats
- a ruptured esophagus
- rotten teeth
- shrinking and splitting stomachs
- lying
- crying till you can't
- always being cold
- always feeling feverish
- fainting
- binging uncontrollably
- losing mates
- falling out with family
- having no hope for the future
- not being able to focus
- being too tired to sleep
- having vitamin deficiencies
- feeling fatter when you're thinner
- wanting to die
And part of it never goes away.
If you can, get help. Recover. Please, please recover, I'm rooting for you even if I can't root for myself.
