People on the Internet I Wish I Was Best Friends With

Sometimes when I stalk someone on the internet too much I start to believe that we are best friends. Here are some of these:

Mindy Kaling

aka Miss Kelly Kapoor from The Office. Girl is fierce, writer/actor on The Office, and has a brand new book out that I just spent the better part of an hour shamelessly reading in Barnes and Noble.  I found myself doing that embarrassing thing where you laugh out loud while reading in public, and then exchange awkward looks with the people the people next to you where you feel obligated to explain the joke. Anyways, Mindy is worth it.

Also this is the back cover to her book. We would so be BFFs.

Anna Beth Chao

Not only is AB's design asthetic fab ( just take a look at this portfolio) but she is sharp as a tack funny.

I knew we would be besties when I first saw this video of her hanging with some of her real life friends. The end where she talks about her and her daughter-kills me. Every time. She is one sassy southern lady.

John Green

The amazing talented author of YA novels like Looking for Alaska and The Fault in Our Stars, John Green is the 1/2 of the youtube channel vlogbrothers. He is so talented and funny and I sometimes finish his videos and am in awe of his intelligence. It's nerdy and silly but so am I. We would be best friends less of the braid each other's hair variety and more of the discussion of literature and implications of our mortality. 

"Nerds like us are allowed to be unironically enthusiastic about stuff. We don't have to be like, 'Oh yeah that purse is okay' or like, 'Yeah, I like that band's early stuff.' Nerds are allowed to love stuff, like jump-up-and-down-in-the-chair-can't-control-yourself-love it. Hank, when people call people nerds, mostly what they are saying is, 'You like stuff', which is just not a good insult at all, like 'You are too enthusiastic about the miracle of human consciousness"

Porcupine Balls.

My Grand-Mother for Christmas gave me a binder of old recipes, and this was the first I tried. The note my Grandma added read,  "Hazel's favorite", so props to my Great- Grandma Hazel for these babies.

This weekend I watched Rear Window and everything Grace Kelly wears in it is just perfection. I mean honestly, the dress in all white are her pajamas. What a fox.

I made a version of this, and you should too. I made mine with chocolate chips and plenty of chopped walnuts on top. Chocolate, peanut-butter AND banana? Please, I'm weak in the knees just remembering it.

Pierce (Community) and the Dowager Countess (Downton Abbey) Keep that eyebrow in check — these two uptight and prejudiced old folks are made for each other. The only question, really, is figuring out which one is the bigger B.

Paul Newman is a dreamboat. This clip from Butch Cassidy and the Sundance kid is all the evidence I need of this. Honestly, if this scene doesn't charm your pants off i'm not sure we can be friends.

Cherry on top is not only is he dreamy, but the man makes his own salad dressing. For charity. With his mother effing face on the bottle.
