What is Star Wars: Recrimination?
Recrimination is an imagined variably-animated series that serves as a sequel to the Rebels television series and the canon Thrawn novels. Through this work, I am interested in complicating the conventions of Star Wars as a franchise, exploring key aspects such as xenophobia, exploitation, expansion, and what comes of reckoning with empire.
Any work hoping to follow in the footsteps of Rebels ought to be concerned with how art is presented inside and outside of the story. In order to capture the style-blending that the project would ideally exhibit if it were ever developed, each piece of artwork made for the Recrimination continuity thus far was created by a different artist. All of them are very talented, and I highly recommend checking out their work!
As Recrimination has existed in my head for roughly three years now, I often lose sight of what the reader not acquainted with my grey matter is actually able to infer from what I've written.
