i love shut the door so much asdjkdhf!!! i knew i'd like the song after hearing the teasers and live versions from his busking live, but upon understanding its meaning by looking at the lyrics from the mv, i think it's definitely one of my favorite young k songs! and fs one i am emotionally attached to.
goodbye, love is so stray kids! and i'm here for it. but definitely kind of unexpected
the chorus of million reasons is so very peak, i love how some lyrics sound like they're in the background and others are more upfront!
guitar solo in a hundred whys for goodbye is epic and i love it. but the rest of the song is ok. my enjoyment of songs tends to increase with amount of listens (till a certain point), so mayhaps i'll find myself liking it a lot in a week or so - this usually happens with day6 songs
we needed a yearning song from young k and drivin' into hell is yearn maxxing (lol what am i saying)

saw a post ranking all the songs on the album, and they mentioned how lots of songs were below 3 min. i didn't realize this when listening - only when i intentionally looked at their durations on spotify! idk if this will impact how much i enjoy each of them. btw why is marionette only 2 min. i don't want to base song quality and worth on their duration, but idk i guess seeing marionette's 2 minute-ness kind of threw me off. then again there were several songs on letters with notes that were also less than 3 min, and i don't think i disliked those ones more than the others. idk man
i liked heading home a lot when i heard it live, and the studio version very much showcased the power and versatility of his vocals!

his voice sounds so happy in hey honey! but i must say the lyrics "when you're not with me, you'd better not be happy!", aka "you can only be happy when i'm around", are a little .. unhealthy
truly am very curious about the underlying meaning of lots of these songs, aside from the ones where it's relatively obvious. i know the album is about how somewhere during his musical career, he lost touch with kang younghyun while maintaining young k and his image. so i guess he's trying to find his old self. but how do each of these songs support and build on this theme?
i am vowing to myself (and young k heh) that i will study the english translations of every song when they're posted!
