【 Takeru 】
Takeru was almost thankful for the silent topic change, especially when talking about what’d happened before he’d ended up as part of the Lost Incident was still something sensitive to him. If only life could’ve stayed that way, but Takeru hadn’t been expecting a part of that time to come finding him here or now either.
“She still lives back at home. Back before I left to come here, she was still pretty busy working a ton of jobs to help pay herself back for this new tablet she’d just bought.” Takeru managed a smile, “If you want to talk to her someday though, just tell me. Her and I still talk all the time.”
In fact, Kiku had just calledhim earlier in the afternoon, too. She’d tried to tell him that she wasn’t worrying about him being alone in the city, but…that’s exactly what she’d been doing. Her frequent phone calls couldn’t say anything but that.
“But you sound like you’re here looking for a friend, too. You’ve probably got more of those in Den City now than I do, huh?”
"Mhm... .maybe I'll talk to her later." he replied, after all he wasn't really about to drag Kiku into the Hanoi mess. He wasn't sure what Takeru had told her about his stay here, but still...
The question made him blink, before he shook his head. "I used to have before but... I had a rather bad accident a while ago. Haven't seen most of them ever since." It wasn't actually their fault. At least not only. The days after he had woken up in the hospital he had spend the most time with breaking his head about what Ryoken had told him about the cause of the accident. He hadn't been that much up for talks when people had come to visit him and at some point they just stopped. Their lives continued. Haru got stuck in a war he never expected to end up in.
"There are two guys I'd consider as friends but they're too focused on work."
Even though there was the silent question he didn't dared to ask.
'Are we still friends?'
