So last night a friend on tumblr messaged me asking me what was my first time I experience my heartbeat or favorite heartbeat related story. I told him but I might as well tell the a more fuller version. So was a wrestler in highschool, and was in 10th grade at the time. I was a little skinnier then I am now. But still in shape. We just got done with a workout and lifting weights, so we were tired as hell. Practice was over and we were lined up to check out weights. Standing there in our boxers only, It was my turn to get on the scale when my coach put his hand up to stop me. He then put a finger on my chest to stop me. Confused I asked “what was the matter?” He responded with “you ok? Your heart looks like it’s trying to break free!” Confused I looked down at my chest to find that it was just shaking with every heartbeat. My apex was so visible right below my nipple. That my whole left pec was bouncing. A few of the others were curious about it and I think almost every one of my fellow wrestlers were fondling my chest in curiosity. Everyone wanted to feel and listen to my heart hammering away in my rib cage. The coaches were worried that I might have something wrong, so I was sent to go check that out, I had my license already so I went to the local clinic. When I sat down in the medical chair I was asked to remove my shirt so I did, She then gave me a complete pectoral and heart examination, she looked at my chest and watched it heave with my heartbeat, she took out a stethoscope and put the cold metal against my skin and checked my valves and ventricles. She was in aw, “you have a really strong heart! There’s nothing wrong with you,” she said.
So I returned to the locker room and told my friends that I just have a strong heart. “I’ll say” said a fellow wrestler and friend in the same grade as me and pulled me into a hug with his head on my bare chest and listened to my heart, it felt like he was there for hours when it was probably there for a minute, not used to this type of attention yet I put my hand on his chest to push him off l, but When my hand met his chest I felt his heart hammering against my hand, he was enjoying listening to my heart. (Said friend had to have a valve burned to fix his irregular heartbeat.) and from that day on, my friends still love to look at and feel my heartbeat every now and then. Not in a sexual manner but in a way of fascination.
