These would go down a treat
Dad, Myself and my amazing Grandpa, just how i'll always remember him.
Miss you so much already <3
I hope someone reads this so someone can know of how my amazing grandpa was done by so wrong by the system, having people aware, I'm hoping will bring me some closure...
My Grandpa passed away yesterday,
He was staying in a rehabilitating nursing home for just a couple more weeks until he was all better to go home.
He'd been there since November after having heart attack, they told us back then that he would pass away within a week but for the past 8 months had only been getting better and better. He was holding in there for us, my family.
He hated being at the nursing home, and was hell determined to get back home. He was back to 100% and hated being trapped in a place full of old people who where mindless and practically dead already, he told us it made you want to give up because he didn't want to be like that.
I'd visit him as much as I could and would bring over photos to keep in his room, one of them was this one.
He's passion was race horses and just last week he won top price on every race, he was planning a trip overseas, and would tell me about all the hollywood gossip. He had never been more conversative and on the ball then he had been after recovering from the heart attack.
He's passing was blamed on old age, as he had diabetes and was still at the rehabilitating home,
However when my family arrived my Dad found a note written in Grandpa's book by the side of his bed were his body still lay,
It Read: I'm ringing the buzzer, no answer, buzzing and no one is coming, im slowly going, its all over, no ones coming.... and then just a scribbly line.
My Dad wanted to take this further and take someone to court, the rest of our family however didn't, they say it cant change anything.
I agree however knowing that my Grandpa was calling for help and knew know one was listening or coming to help him, and was all alone in his final moment rips my fucking heart out, he left the note so we would see it, and probably bring him justice,
Regardless if he where to pass if the nurses had come or not is not what I wonder, because if he did at least we would have known someone was there with him, caring for him, when we couldn't be.
I hope this doesn't happen to anyone else, but in knowing the selfishness and careless attitude and minds of the majority of today's people, more and more of us will be left begging for help and all alone in our times of need.
`William Walford` (Grandpa)
Was married to my Nanna for 65 years before she passed away in 2009,
Together they had 7 children and from there around 46 Grand kids and something like 31 Great Grandchildren with some on the way.
My G-pop was the chilledest dude ever, and the thing I loved and will remember the most is his absolutely crack up classic one liners, seriously the best sense of humor.
The last time I saw Grandpa was about 2 weekends ago, he told me he loved me and i told him the same, for that i am so grateful, and the fact he can know be with nanna again together forever, and knowing nannas know longer alone and pop can be truly happy again is okay with me <3
