“… and then I had a guy came in who had ingested some… questionable things and oh boy was that fun to watch those come through,” Chloe said, telling her cousin about her latest shift at the hospital. She had come over for their weekly dinner — today was Taco Tuesday, so with a beer in hand she was busy chopping up the toppings. While their dinners might not happen every single week, it was something that they tried to do as a family when they could, and she was always happy to try to cook for him, even if she was the one to eat most of the food. ( @stefanreyes )
Stefan looked at his cousin in amusement as the other went on about her day. “You pick the weirdest topics to talk about when you are cooking.” he noted, scoffing a little as he brought out more vegetables from the fridge and placed it on the counter. “That must be Sawyer with Belle.” he told her when they heard the door bell ring just then, a smile on his lips as he opened the door and he found the two outside. “How’s my little princess?” he said as the little girl jumped into his arms. “Come on in.” he told Sawyer before he walked over back to his cousin with his daughter in his arms. “Aunt Chloe is making tacos for all of us.” @ofhominum

“Oh yes, you’re practically an adult,” Kitsi replied, raising a brow at Stefan when he agreed with her. Sometimes she really questioned the parenting choices of Hollow Grove residents. “I can’t believe you’re actually convincing me to climb in that cesspool of drunken supernaturals.”
“Who’d have thought a five year old would be easier to handle than you.” he said teasingly. He was always careful with Livy of course, he simply didn’t think this would be of any danger to her. And with both him and Kitsi around, nothing could possibly go wrong. “Come on, Kitsi, she’s going to have fun. And so will you. Now stop worrying and jump in already.”
rosabellemoretti:
Rosabelle was having a good time, jumping around and listening to the musical acts. A number of them had come as a massive surprise as she hadn’t really expected them to be supernatural. What was Ed Sheeran? A werewolf? It was the best guess she could make. Maroon Five? Vampires maybe? At some point she stopped considering all of it because she was too drunk to really care, dancing along to the music. The witch hadn’t even realized that she was standing next to Steffan. A smile spread on her lips. “What?” she yelled back, teasing him. “It’s loud. Too loud to talk!” Her eyes dropped to the bottle in his hand. “Want to share?”
"Why not.” he said taking yet another sip of his drink before handing the bottle to her. He glanced around, nobody was paying attention to them, but then again, they could barely hear each other in the crowd -- Stefan had to share with her something he had found during his travel, and here didn’t seem like the right place for it. “Come with me, Rosa.” he said, gesturing for the woman to follow him. “I have something to tell you, something I’m sure you will be very interested to hear.”
amberhorne:
It was Amber’s first music festival but she was having a pretty good time. The alcohol she had been drinking ran through her veins and created a buzz in her head, helping her find comfort in such crowds of people. She didn’t know the artist she was dancing to but that didn’t matter. What mattered was that she was participating. That she was having fun. And next to her was Stefan, the first friend she ever made. “Is that what the constant ringing in my ears means?” she asked, yelling above the noise. Still, she couldn’t help but laugh. “At least it sounds good!”
“I can barely hear what you are saying.” Stefan yelled back before he downed his drink and dragged the girl away from the crowd, ready to get himself another. “I am sure by the end of the week, all we will be hearing is the ringing.” He got both of them a refill, before he took a sip and spoke again. “This is you first Monster Jam, right? So, what do you think of it? You run around the world looking for supernaturals, ever thought these guys would be one of them?” he asked motioning with his hand to the stage far away.

“I’ll keep my mouth shut for a whole entire month if you take me home,” Val told Stefan the moment he saw him. He was grouchy about the whole Monster’s Ball and he wanted to go home, away from the noise. He didn’t care if he had to hide for the rest of the year, or forever, but dammit, he wanted to go home and stay at home. “Just tell Amber some weird excuse and take me home, please.”
Stefan had just arrived, ready to have all the fun, but he first walked into Val who seemed to be in a rather grouchy mood that day. “You’re not serious, I literally just got here.” Stefan tried to reason with the vampire. “Why are you in such a hurry to leave?”

danielle-onthego:
“Oh, baby.” She giggled against his lips, as she wrapped her arms around him. “I was slightly excited before, but now I’m intrigued.” It was a soft purr back at Ryder, but then she immediately realized what he was talking about. She may not have been drunk at this time, but she had been so far into the conversation, she’d almost forgotten what was their true reason for being there. Her upper lip curved into a snark, as she took a step back. She didn’t need any more encouragement, any more words from either of them. Her eyes only saw red. Thus when they moved, she had to stop herself from moving faster, simply running around, ripping out the hearts of anyone who stood in her way. She didn’t care what could happen, who could see. She needed her father to die.
Her whole mind was full of every single thing that he’d done. Every single thing he made her do, how he tried to mend her, bend her own will. Come on Danielle, your opinion means nothing. You will do well to remember that. Were the words he said to a 7-year-old followed by a slap. You’d remember what it is the woman should be used for. He’d say when he’d said she was going to marry a man who had tried to rape not only other girls but her as well. He locked her in the cellar room, with no windows for four days. And she only got water because the maids sneaked it in. Of course, her mother wasn’t any better. She’d have been the one who left marks on her arms, for every time she misbehaved.
Danielle’s hand curled into fists, allowing her nails to sink into her skin as she saw Edward all tied up. Her hazel hues focused on the man. Oh, how she hated him. Every single cell in her body was filled with the emotion. And of course, the logic in her tried to fight it, tried to fight the fact that she shouldn’t be feeling shit for him, that he didn’t deserve that much. But she couldn’t. Not when the last months he’d been taunting her. Getting into her home, leaving her ‘gifts’, the noises at night, the flowers by her bed, the things from other people’s houses. The damn letters threatening her and her loved ones. Calling her weak, the people in the streets, strangers yet coming in to talk to her, communicate his messages.
Danielle walked up to Ryder, now a mischievous grin playing on her lips. “When you walked into my life, I thought you were just another weakling. And now, you’ve given me the best kind of present.” She pressed her lips to his, before turning to Stefan. He was half focused on her father, who was in plain, she could see it in his eyes, feel it in his bones. She brought back her attention to Stefan, proud of his ability, proud of the pain he was causing, it was making her excited, excited to be able to cause pain to Edward with two great men by her side. Danielle squeezed Stefan’s shoulder before turning her attention to her father, squatting right in front of him. “So what do you think, daddy? You think these two men are here to protect me?” She grinned as she took his hand in hers, picking his index finger and slowly starting to pull the nail off. “See, Ryder can cause you great pain physically, he can make it fast, or slow. He can taste you, rip you to shreds, and we’re all going to love him.” She took now his middle finger and proceeded to do the same. “Stefan? Stefan has a real special kind of mind. He doesn’t even have to lift a finger to make you wish you were never alive.” All fingernails were on the floor, scattered as the Edward moaned from the pain. “And me? I’m going to be the one to give you the mercy of death… But much… Much later.” She smirked as she got up, lining herself up with her men. “I think everyone should get a go. We all are here for some fun, aren’t we? Isn’t this event for all that?” She arched her brow, a murderous look in her dark eyes. ( @rydrx )
“I will ignore the weakling comment,” Ryder told her. He didn’t blame Danielle for being skeptical, many people could be all-talk and no action. He never promised anything he could not deliver (he rarely did promise for this very reason), and he had done exactly that - deliver. If they both told him to leave right now, he would, he already finished his end of the bargain, but the glint in Dani’s eyes told him otherwise. So he stayed, watching as they both taunted Edward. With his humanity off, he did not get the same pleasure that the vampire and witch did in front of him as he watched the scene unfold. But the vampiric instinct within him had to feed.
He quirked a brow when Stefan removed the cloth from the man’s mouth - so it was going to be that type of night, was it? He shrugged off his suit jacket, placing it on a hook hanging on the wall, and begin to roll up the sleeves of his white button, watching as Danielle tormented her father. At her invitation, he grabbed a nearby chair and dragged it over beside Edward, sitting himself down beside the man. “I have come to enjoy the company of your daughter,” he began, adjusting his sleeves again to ensure that they didn’t get in his way. “I don’t know what has transpired between you and her,” he looked over at Danielle, “and I could care less, but seeing as she is now my client,” he turned back to the man, leaning forward in his seat. “I have her best interests in mind. I’m sure these hands of yours did things that no father should ever do a young girl.” His fingers traced the back of his hand, before reaching into his back pocket, pulling out a fork and jamming it into the back of his hand. “I am more than happy to ensure that doesn’t happen again.” He stepped back so Stefan could have his turn.
“What?” he chuckled at the two of them at his choice of tool. “You never know when you’ll be hungry.” ( @stefanreyes )
“He is no weakling.” Stefan stated, his eyes still on the man who struggling and screaming as Dani pulled his nails out one by one. Dani often seemed to forget that Ryder wasn’t like them, he had lived for centuries and had far more experience that either of them could begin to even understand, and that was why Stefan had brought him into town as soon as he found out that Edward was a problem they weren’t able to solve on their own. He couldn't blame Dani for being skeptical though, there were far too many vampires who had lived for centuries, and yet were good for nothing. But Ryder wasn’t one of them. Just as Stefan had expected, he had delivered.
He couldn’t help but scoff as she began talking to the man. “Stop it, Danielle, you are making me blush here.” he said wryly as he watched the man shiver, from fear or pain, or simply from cold he didn’t know. His eyes grew excited as Ryder took a seat, but as he watched him stab him with a fork, he couldn’t help but laugh at the sight before him. “Of all the possible weapons you could carry, you have with you a fork?” The man’s screams mattered nothing to him as he looked at the other with amusement, before the screams began to quiet down, and all that could be heard was his defeated sobbing.
“That’s right, how does it feel? To be completely helpless?” he murmured, as he gauged the man, thinking what to do next, before his eyes went up to meet Dani’s, a sinister smile on his lips. “You’re going to love this.” he promised, motioning the both of them to step back before with a single swipe of his hands just over the man’s body, flames began to engulf him, quickly followed by panicking screaming. To the onlookers it would just seem like there was fire over him, his body unaffected, but Edward would be feeling the unending pain of being burnt till Stefan decided to end his suffering. “You can touch it.” he said as he let his hands play with the flames. “It won’t hurt us, just him.” ( @danielle-onthego )
Ryder was only here for one reason - he had a mission. As much as he would like to slip between the crowd and pick off those who were too drunk to resist him, he had to focus. When he set his mind to something, it took much to deter him from his prize. He was sure that what was about to come would be enough to satisfy his craving.
They were already together, making his job easier. He approached Danielle and Stefan from the crowd, grabbing Dani around the waist to place a kiss upon her lips before giving Stefan a wink. “I have a surprise for you, darling,” he purred, excitement coursing through him that brought about a playful mood that he was unable to contain. He led the two of them to a small building on the outskirts of the park, the music and the crowd still heard to mask the noises to come, but the area private for them to conduct their business that they wouldn’t be disturbed. He allowed them to enter first, leading them to an area draped with sheets, pulling back the fabric to reveal his capture. ( @stefanreyes @danielle-onthego )
His conversation with Danielle was regrettably cut short by Ryder when he came and grabbed the girl by her waist and planted a kiss to her lips. He rolled his eyes as the man winked at him, ready to get back into the crowd of dancing people but when he spoke with intense excitement in his tone and an evil glint in his eyes, it was made rather clear that he hadn’t come simply to steal the girl away. He had come for the both of them. He shared a knowing look with Ryder -- there was only one reason he would need the both of them -- before his eyes moved to Danielle, trying to read how she was taking the news. They wasted no time, moving far from the crowds as quick as possible. He was cautious as he always was, making sure there was not a soul around, but he knew the vampires would know long before him if there were people anywhere close.
He had seen pictures of the man struggling against the magical binding which held him, too powerful for even his vampire strength. Danielle had showed him pictures so he and Ryder know who they were looking for, but he looked different in person -- probably because the pictures happened to be from when he had been human. He didn’t know why she so desperately wanted him gone, not really, but he could guess enough. He could see in her eyes when she spoke of him to him in New York, the seething hatred she felt for the man. And he could see right now how much she loathed him -- enough that to her, death was only a kindness they could show him. She wanted to see her suffer, and Stefan couldn’t say no to that.
His eyes turned to the man and he crouched down next to him. The fear in his eyes made him smile, and as he moved his hands closer the man only struggled more. “You look scared.” The words left his lips, as silky as ever, cooing as though to a child. He took off the cloth which Ryder had used to tie around his mouth to make him stay quiet. Stefan didn’t like the silence though -- and the moment it was off, he began to yell for help which simply amused Stefan. “You have no idea what you have coming.” His eyes focused on the man and his hand lifted above his head before he clenched his fist a moment later -- a gut-wrenching scream leaving the man’s lips as he began to writhe on the ground.
He merely watched him for a few seconds as he continued screaming, before he turned to the other two. “What do you want to do?” he asked, the question directed more towards Danielle than Ryder -- this was her arena, after all.
( @danielle-onthego )
She was definitely drunk. For once, Dani simply said fuck it to all her responsibilities and decided to join some people with he day drinking, and fuck, it was fun. She was already down one bottle of gin down, and she was definitely feeling it. She’d been with some people, changing her ground as she got bored. She wanted to feel it, to feel the music, and ignore the complete boredom that people brought to the city. She at least hoped that people would get more naughty the more they drank, but somehow they started to become more and more normal. Doing less rather than more. There were no orgies, no people making out, no shots, no blood, no backstabbing. Nothing that would amuse her even a little bit.
Taking a bottle from the group moved away from the crowd. It was late already, but she didn’t care for the time. The only thing she knew, was that it was dark, and the lights looked better than they did before and the music simply improved. Or maybe it was simply the fact that she was completely wasted. With a smile on her lips, Dani stopped in the middle of the crowd, allowing herself to feel the music. She was wearing a dress that was hardly there, boots over her ankles, her hair loose down her shoulders in the glam curls. It made it easy for her to move around, plus she adored all the attention from everyone. With a smirk playing on her lips, she allowed her hips to move to the music, her hand moving up her torso, sensual grazing her skin all the way up to her fingertips. She could feel the thirst from everyone, eyeing her up as if she was someone’s dinner.
She was about to get moving when she smelled blood. But not any kind of blood, a familiar scent that tickled the memories int he back of her brain. With slight confusion in her face, she followed the scent, a giggle on her lips, as she reached some backspace. “ Helloo… It is rude not to share, you know.” She licked her lower lip as she finally came into view with the scene before her. She immediately recognized the man, and without a second glance she roughly pulled off the vampire. “Get the fuck out, before I rip your head off.” She hissed at him, before walking up to Stefan. “The fuck are you thinking? Are you back to that again?” @stefanreyes
He blamed Livy for this but as the effect of the alcohol he had consumed took over, Hakuna Matata began to play over and over in his mind and he couldn’t help but hum along despite there being pretty decent music being played loud around him. It was one of the days when Maddie had Livy, and for some reason Stefan had decided to go all out, drinking through the day and into the dark of the evening. That was until at one point he had found a rather young vampire he had seen often at Purgatory before, easy enough to manipulate, and was all too eager to feed from him. The buzz from the alcohol was not enough for him that night -- Stefan needed the bliss from the vampire venom. The elation he felt when the fangs sank into his wrist was divine and he couldn't help but get completely lost as the effect of the venom reached his head.
That was till Dani rudely interrupted them, pulled the vampire off of him. He came back to earth, still feeling dizzy and eyes barely managing to focus on her -- a smirk grew on his lips at her angry tone. “Don’t be like that, Dani, I am just having some fun here.” he murmured, barely able to raise his voice from the euphoria he was feeling, but he knew she could hear him. He leaned back against the trunk of a tree, eyes half closed and breathing slowly.
“It’s not like that I know what I am doing.” Stefan said firmly a couple minutes later, as firm as he could manage with his mind buzzing, and if she knew him at all she’d know that this wasn't up for discussion. The last time he had let Val take control and had let him do as he pleased even when he knew all limits were being crossed, but this wasn’t the same. He knew exactly what he was doing and sometimes, just alcohol and drugs wasn’t enough for him. Sometimes he wanted more. “You’re cute when you worried about me.” he mocked her. “Relax, Danielle, it’s all in control -- I am just annoyed that the little vamp is gone now.” A small sigh left his lips before his eyes fell on her again, taking in her attire, her posture -- and the way she seemed to be rather unsteady. Was she drunk? “Whatever will I do for venom now?” He stepped closer to her, lifting his wrist up to her lips, a slight tilt of his head as he spoke. “Care for a taste?”
@stefanreyes
“You do realise they created this ball pit with adults in mind right?” Kitsi posed as she stood next to Stefan, watching as other Monster Jam goers frolicked amongst the plastic balls, some of them drunk or halfway there. “If you let Olivia go in there she’s going to be in over her head - literally.”
Before he could answer Kitsi, it seemed his daughter has something to say. “But I am all grown up now! I am going to be six next month!” Livy protested and Stefan couldn’t help but laugh. “You heard her.” he said in a teasing tone. “And besides, that’s why we are going in with her -- to dig her out if she gets buried in there.”
