Just picture that itās midnight and you decide to go to bed, because you are really tired. Then, you wake up suddenly at 3am, someone is coming into your room. At first you think itās your boyfriend but then you see more than one person and you panic. In just five seconds that you canāt think straight you thought āOh no! Oh no! Someone is here to rape me or steal, ahhhhh.ā
Then, they turn the lights on and surprise! Your five friends from Madrid are in your fucking room in the fucking London! But your heart is still pounding so hard that you canāt even register what is happening. Oh, and they are recording everything (obviously).
After recovering myself a little bit of my initial shock, but not too much, I see them for the first time in some months. They go to the hostel and I go to sleep. A night full of weird dreams that the next morning make me wonder if they are here for real or it was just something that I made up.
And that way an express visit took place. You know, going to the famous places in London, taking pictures, chattingā¦ What friends do. It was the first time that they were in the city with me after a year and a half that I came to live here. And it was like being in Madrid. Just a change of scenario. Because when you are with your friends itās not really important the place but the company. We could be in a shitty place that if Iām with them I wouldnāt mind at all.Ā
So this was one of the greatest surprises someone ever did to me. And Iām very grateful that these little human beings took the time to organize a trip to London, all of them together, just to surprise me. So thank you girls. And I love you.
And thanks to my boyfriend as well, who knew everything since October and who help them to make the surprise possible and took care of them when they arrived here. Sometimes you donāt say things with words but then you surprise me with your actions.Ā
