Hi people of Tumblr! Though I’ve had my Soundcloud for quite a while I never really put anything on public  since I was always preparing for this ‘recording-an-album-thing’. I really don’t feel like this is the way to do things anymore within the digital age we live in. So! I’ve decided to put some of the songs out there and will continue doing so! My main concern is that you like the songs and get something out of it, whether it be joy, happiness, confirmation or whatever suits your mood. All that I upload are songs that I wrote, performed and recorded. It has been and will be a way for me to ensure that whatever reaches the public will be approved by me and myself only. There have been no other people involved in the making of these songs. (With the exception of Heart on Fire which includes the drumming of Aaron Sterling) Again, I just hope you like my songs and that they somehow enhance your day, hour, or brief moment in time. Start again

Today I write in a way I haven’t done in a long time. I write because I feel panic and anxiety. The last few months I’ve been playing with the thought of starting a band again. I miss playing and being good at something. I just can’t get forward doing something solo. Whether that’s because I’m not good enough or people just don’t have any interest in it, I don’t know. I also don’t care. I’ve enjoyed playing in my own band for many years thought I haven’t forgotten all the trouble it comes with. But I’m older now, and I feel like I’m not going to make the same mistakes twice. Still, I can’t oversee everything. But that’s just what it is. Yesterday Prince died. And though this didn’t hit me at first, it does the day after. It got me watching old footage of him and it reminded me of how I enjoyed getting inspired. You know, picking up a guitar because you felt you hád to in order to calm down. It also took me back to a year where I played one of his songs on national tv which did a lot for me that particular year. I’m not suggesting I want this back because I hated the stigma and I still do, but what it did cause was for me to remember how much I enjoyed getting up on stage and playing. It was an essential part of me and it gave me an oppurtunity to contribute to the music scene. I think a lot of the music right now is really bad and mainly just mass marketing. And I didn’t enjoy being a part of that, but sitting at home not being able to be some sort of counterweight in all this, is even worse. For as far as this future band concerns, I don’t know where to start or where to go so maybe I should just figure a few things out first instead of launching this idea into the open after being hit with the news that one of my heros just died. That just sucks.

At last a new website online! I’ve been offline for quite some time and it has been mostly because I didn’t feel like having a website while nothing was really happening. As in terms of things that involve an audience. Now, the reason why I did create a new website was that I felt like nów there is some stuff happening. As you may know I did continue writing and started playing live again (small venues) but that wasn’t enough to come out with and say ‘well I’m writing again, yeeh’. As of now the things I wrote are becoming part of a bigger project which includes a new crowdfunding initiative that will get launched in the near future. On my website you can read about it and watch a video that explains why I’m involved in this project. And how it can help me get to record a solo album in Wisseloord studios. Again, the official launch date has yet to be announced but I want y'all to know that this going to happen. Also, there is some music online (one complete track, and some snippets) that has not been released yet! Anyhow, just go ahead and tell me what you think about the website and all, and I’ll keep you posted from there on out! Cheers, Stefan
