First off, i want to apologize for taking so long. A lot of stuff has been going on irl that’s kept me away from the computer and tumblr in general for the last few days. Those being my doctor, my psychiatrist, and my mother having me on suicide watch for well over the last month, only recently getting worse around the 28th of february, trying to get used to my new antidepressants, as well as trying to get things in order for welfare so that we don’t have to worry once again about the bank foreclosing our house.
Now i’ll address the aave use. I apologized already as can be seen in those anon responses, but i’ll apologize again. I’m sorry for using aave terms without my knowledge of them being aave, and i’m sorry for answering asks pertaining to it. I thought I had been refraining from using aave terms, but it appears i was wrong. Yes, the use of the slur was a mistake, one i hadn’t realized i’d made until the post had already been reblogged. It was not my intention in the slightest to offend with the tag, and i’m once again sorry for it. That isn’t a term i would ever use, and for that i’m deeply sorry.
I’m sorry for seeing a response as hostile when i was in the midst of fighting to keep my house for the first time. I’m also sorry that i was venting to a friend about it and meant nothing by it other than to vent.
Onto the fact of whitewashing, i’m sorry that i’m using a white fc when ventus appears to be white. I chose his fc as the fact candace plays a role of a high school student in vampire diaries, and that’s the role i was iconing for ven. I also made an avatar in ffxiv to icon because i felt canon didn’t fit for my interpretation of ven. I tend to write him as a 20+ nonbinary feminine presenting individual using he/him pronouns, much like myself aside from pronouns. I looked at the idea of portraying him as trans, though i would have changed his fc were that to have occured.
Finally, i would like to apologize that the callout and this post even had to have been made. I’m sorry I’ve used aave and a racial slur. I’m sorry that the fc i’ve chosen offends you or anyone. I’ll be deleting my ryuji blog so that your friend can have his url back, and i will be deleting the psd i’ve saved from rexaconda’s psd blog, as well as any icons i’ve made using said psd.
