I actually really like how this came out. This is an art project for school where the teacher basically told us to go crazy as long has we included figures and use a random word generator for inspiration (to get us out of our comfort zone) . My words were: crown, night, dynamic, and veil.

A new set of token designs for the zombie campaign. Deucalion (top right) is the slightly deranged leader of the stronghold my players have stumbled upon, also called The Ringmaster. He’s the main antagonist in the campaign who will have a very anticlimactic death at the hands of his right hand, Mina (top right), also called The Dragon. I might go into depth with her character background if I make more individual art of her (with an improved tattoo, bc, Christ, did I bouch that one).

Under them are the Turner Siblings: Ame, Bruce, and Vernon. Ame and Bruce are twins that mostly interact with my teen players, and Vernon, in turn, keeps the adults in the loop. Bruce is best friends with Dustin, who, speaking of—

Here are some tokens for my recent campaign that’s set during the zombie apocalypse. I whipped these up for Roll20, so that’s why they’re all made from the same base (definitely not laziness, it’s for consistency 🤫).

In order of appearance: Barry (the doctor bard), Norman (has too many guns), Eliza (has a katana for some reason (also a tad more detailed bc its a simplified version of how my gf’s character design)), Moana (not what they look like but they they won’t send me a description so they got stuck with my ‘spoiled rich kid’ NPC design), Doctor Roiz (super powerful cleric NPC that only helps when he puts down his tea), Ootra (who doesn’t deserve this (NPC)), and Dustin (who we’ve talked about in my last post and still needs a redesign).

So I accidentally named a NCP Dustin Laboy and I—

So, for a bit of context, I’m running a Zombie Apocalypse campaign and my players had a run-in with a group of nercomancer ravagers trying to snatch their junk, right? And one of these guys ended up begging for his life after seeing his friends get gruesomely murdered (both his camarads got taken out with two separate crits, so lots of evisceration was involved).

One insight check and looting later, Dustin Laboy was created, a scrappy teenager who got coerced into necromancy. The stupid part of this whole thing is that it took me literal hours to catch onto the fact that my re-watching of 21-Chump Street had leaked into my DMing duties.

Here’s Dustin btw. I have to redesign him now because I decided to make him a sympathetic, reoccurring character on a whim. So, the edgy antagonist aesthetic that I slapped together in twenty minutes won’t cut it anymore. I make a bunch of these tokens for my players, so I think I might post those later 🤔

Just watched Hamilton on Disney+ and I—

But seriously, watching that whole musical as a person who knows every word of it was the most difficult Try Not to Sing Challenge ever!! I watched it with my mom and she was telling me everyday in the week leading up to the premiere that I was not allowed to sing along, so I was restrained to frantic finger tapping and covert head nodding.

Also, damn do you get a lot more of the characters when you watch it. Like, before, only watching the crappy bootlegs and listening to the sound track let’s your imagination run wild with different charatizations. But with the official performance? Let’s just say, there are some things that just don’t carry over! Burr has unfortunately been demoted from favorite character slot and been swiftly replaced with Laurence and Mulligan, just from the way the actors play their parts! Honestly, just *chef’s kiss*

With all the craziness in the world going on, it feels great to just sit down and draw my lovely OC that I’ve had for years. This is Knight, who use to be a MLP oc when I was little that evolved into this ✨

As I grew up, a lot of me went into this character, including my sexuality (ace panromantic) so I am happy to share this pic for pride month.

I attempted to try out a new technique with the line art that I’ve seen everywhere, where you color it in to make the over all piece like softer. I think it looks nice 🤔. The monochrome hair and eyes are left over from her original designs, but the pops of purple were added in match to the flag.

DM: So you want to chance your life on interpretative dance???

Me: Yes.

DM: *laughes* Roll a performance check.

DM: *sigh* the spiders of are in awe of your dance, and almost entranced, especially since you were able to do such an intricate dance stuck to the ground in webbing.

The Dm asked for a example of said dance to which I sent her this:

I really liked the composition of my last post, so when my art teacher told me to draw a trading card about myself, this popped up, looking similar to my Nxyus photo ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I decided to finalize one of the doodles I made the other day. This is Nxyus, my Dungeons and Dragons character. She’s a gnome ranger, proficient in archery and beast taming. She has two Dire Wolves, as silhouetted in the back, and a lot of Phoenix imagery within my party’s campaign, as shown with all the flames.

It’s not colored for simplicity and out of sheer laziness ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
