Is Gaster a Wingdingus?
WELL I NEVER...!
((lil update))
((My tablet’s finally kicked the bucket after its years of service so I’m gonna have to buy a new one. ;o; I’ll answer asks/messages in the meantime, but I can’t make new lessons until I’ve got my hands on a new tablet. Luckily my roommate has one she’ll sell me, but I still need to afford it first!))
Would it be a good idea to tag letters? Like for example, if someone wanted to find the specific lesson or homework for H all they had to do would be to type /tagged/H at the end of your URL? I'm not saying tag it every single time a letter is used, but just for the lessons and homework if someone wants to find it or if they're having trouble learning the letter and need to go over the lesson again.
GOOD IDEA ANON! I’LL GO ADD THOSE TO PAST LESSONS RIGHT NOW.
After teaching us the wingding alphabet [and the other things like dots, comma, etc], will you move on to lower case? Since at the moment you are teaching us capital letters? Oh and side question: Can you read wingdings fluently? [I think I spelled that right o.o]
((If there’s enough interest, I will! Which it’s looking like there is. And I can read capital wingdings fluently-ish, but I can translate English to Wingdings faster than I can do the reverse. When reading it, I get each letter right away, but the sounds of vowels or weird consonant pairs like GH throw me off. If I were trying to read the word TIMESTAMP for example, I may begin to read it as “TIM” at first, and may continue with “TIM-EST” until I realize it’s “TIME”. I wouldn’t do that for TIME by itself though because I'm used to the silent E ending a word.
((So if by ‘fluently’ you mean ‘can I look at a word and instantly parse it, like English’, then the answer’s no for now, except for the more common words (THE, AND, YOU, etc). But I never need to look anything up, except the rarer punctuations, and I can figure out all words within no more than a couple seconds.
((I’m going capitals first because 1: Gaster canonically speaks in caps and thus more fanart has it, and 2: I don’t know the lowercase letters at all.
((Tidbit: when I was really little I tried to learn wingdings too. I remember getting really angry that “S” was a “T”eardrop and “T” was a “S”nowflake. Partially learning it long ago might be the reason I picked up on it so quickly now!))
"There was only ONE of you until you split the world in TWO our TEARS fell to the floor when you were gone... Feeling FROZEN to the bone we much go BACK through your tombstone the ceiling STARS I wish upon" These lyrics really help to remember how to write "GASTER" in Wingdings, heh.
THE FACT THAT PREEXISTING LYRICS LINE UP WITH MY NAME IS FASCINATING! GOOD FIND.
IT IS PERHAPS A LITTLE INEFFICIENT IN THE LONG RUN, WHEN IT COMES TO LEARNING THE LANGUAGE. BUT A GOOD STARTING POINT.
Perhaps you can think of someone who is saying you are 'C'ool and giving you a 'thumbs up' as a way to remember the 'C' in wingdings?
THIS IS ALSO A GOOD MNEMONIC!
(the way you draw the "f" hand looks a lil bit like an f! it might help people who mix up e and f.)
YES! THIS IS GOOD ADVICE.
IF YOU HAVE ANY SUGGESTIONS FOR MNEMONICS, YOU SHOULD DEFINITELY SHOW ME!
What kind of Windings is this? It's not 1, 2 or 3 from what I can tell. Still a really fun blog though!
IT IS ONLY THE CAPITALS FOR NOW, SINCE THAT’S WHAT I SPEAK IN IN-CANON.
I can remember L because a sad face is what one's reaction would be if they were called a Loser. *is extremely pleased with myself*
I THOUGHT OF “WHY THE “L”ONG FACE”, BUT YOURS IS MUCH MORE SUCCINCT!
Why is the "I" in "IS" on the cover a snowflake instead of a hand?
…..
….WHY, ERM, TO SEE IF ANYONE WOULD NOTICE, OF COURSE.
I WOULD NEVER, EVER, MAKE A MISTAKE. -ADJUSTS TURTLENECK IN A DIGNIFIED MANNER.-
((Your lessons are so instructive; I'm starting to understand WingDings now)) ((I hope I will be able to understand full texts soon))
BE DILIGENT LIKE THE ABACUS, AND YOU WILL COME OUT ON TOP.
Sorry. I made that question in spanish. My fault. Why are you so cool?

I CAN FINALLY SPEAK IN HANDS. THANK YOU MR. GASTER
GOOD!
WHY NOT TRY SAYING “ILL HALF-BAGEL”, USING ONLY YOUR HANDS AND FACIAL EXPRESSION, AS QUICKLY AS POSSIBLE?
this blog is absolutely wonderful that is all <3
THANK YOU!
thanks to this blog i can finally curse in wingdings like ive always wanted, thanks gaster
ISN’T THAT WHY WE LEARN ANY LANGUAGE.
