Choose a muse who brings inspiration and passion

My goal is to make readers laugh whenever possible, and — hopefully — inspire in them feelings of surprise and awe, writes Stephanie Barbé Hammer.

I think having a muse/mentor is crucial. Your person doesn’t even have to be alive. I write about three muses here. And after I wrote this piece, I kind of think I’ve got more like 6 or 7.

I love this poem and it’s not just because it’s title is “Stephanie”! It’s a great poem about friendship and how delicate and important friendship is. I also like the use of unrhymed couplets because poetic forms are interesting. Love the ending….
