Maple Flavoured Bacon Wrapped Buffalo Chicken Crunch Wrap
Ingredients:
3 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1 C water
Shredded old cheddar cheese (amount depends on your preference)
1 TBSP chopped chives
1 bottle of Presidents Choice Smokey Bacon Hot Sauce
2 packages of bacon
4 burrito wraps (we used ancient grains)
Olive oil
Maple Syrup
Salt
Pepper
Directions:
Place the chicken breasts in the croc pot with 1 C of water, salt, pepper and 1/2 C of hot sauce. Cook on low for 3-4 hours
Remove chicken from the croc pot and let stand for 5 minutes, then shred
Preheat oven to 400 F
In a large bowl, combine chicken, cheddar cheese, chives and hot sauce. Amount of cheese and hot sauce depends on your own preference. Mix together
Place 3 or 4 pieces of bacon besides each other vertically, and 3 pieces horizontally over the vertical pieces. On top of the bacon, add burrito wrap
Put chicken mixture on the wrap and fold edges in
Starting with the horizontal bacon, wrap the bacon around the wrap and place on a baking sheet (we put 2 pieces of tin foil down on the sheet)
Once on baking sheet, rub olive oil over each wrap and bake in oven for 20 minutes
After 20 minutes, remove wraps from sheet and switch the tin foil to eliminate grease
Place back in oven for 10 minutes
Remove wraps and apply maple syrup over the wraps and bake for another 5 minutes
Remove from oven, let cool for 10 minutes, cut in half and enjoy!
