Today makes 4 years post brain surgery and I am both grateful to be here and struggling to feel like I’m going to ever get back to where I used to be. But then I look at some of the things I’ve accomplished just these last few months, after coming back from a medically-caused back injury that left me unable to train for nearly a year and with a visual impairment, and I can’t help but believe that I have so much more to give, even when I feel otherwise

I have a lot more to say, but for now, I just wanted to share this little edit with a reminder to myself of how far I’ve come since today 4 years ago. I’ll probably share a bit of a longer one later on with other clips from the past few years, but this one makes me happy since it’s just my progression over the past few months ❤️ 🧠

your late twenties is like one of your friends is getting promoted, one of your friends is binge-watching an early 2000′s tv show, one of your friends is moving away, one of your friends is moving home, one just graduated, one just dropped out, one spends all day in bed, at least three of them are getting into crystals and alternative medicine, one of them is changing careers, one of them still “doesn’t know what they want to do with their life” and talks about starting a podcast, one of them is on sabbatical, and everyone’s tummy hurts but they’re being so brave about it
