Delicious Contest | Sun & Hau
With a wide grin, Hau made his way across the rather busy street. The trainer was on his way to meet a good friend of his, and not only that, but he was eating at one of the best restaurants in Alola today! It was none other than Mallow's restaurant on Akala island.
“Good thing we reserved some seats, huh?”
Hau hummed to Hibi, who was floating next to him as they excitedly made their way up to the front doors of the restaurant. There were people waiting in line outside, hoping to get a seat, but since he made a reservation, Hau and his beloved Alolan Raichu were allowed to march right on in.
Thankfully this place wasn’t too fancy, even though the food was amazing. Hau would just feel awkward having to wear a suit and tie, especially when he was just meeting a good friend. Of course, he tried to make somewhat of an effort to look like he hadn’t just been rolling in the dirt. He wore a bit of a fancier outfit, yet still kept his usual style around. Lots of loose-fitting clothing and flowery designs. His hair was up in a bun with a braid holding it in place. Man, his mother is a blessing for teaching him to do his hair. To be fair, she seemed like she enjoys messing around and watching him change hairstyles often, so Hau doubted she minded teaching him.
Soon enough, Hau spotted Sun and excitedly made his way over to the table he was seated at. Hibi greeted the other trainer with a high-pitched cry, before floating down in an empty seat while Hau took another.
“Alola!” Hau smiled excitedly at the other, giving him the Alolan wave for a greeting. “How have you been?”

Sun drummed his fingers on the table he was seated at, knee bouncing anxiously as time passed by. He was rather early to his outing with his Hau, one of his closest friends. Despite his nerves, he was quite excited to see him once more as the two found themselves often too busy to meet up. But today was different! The two had finally set time aside to just hang out like old times.
He had made small talk with Mallow when she stopped by to say hello and some of the customers’s kids who shyly approached the champion. It distracted him from his nervousness which he was grateful for at least, not to say Virge wasn’t doing a good job already but the Mimikyu just wanted to stay in his lap to relax. He wasn’t doing anything until the food arrived!
Like Hau, he made an effort to look nice but he also remained casual. He had gone with a tank, something different from his usual striped tee, but kept his cargo shorts. The champion had shortly taken off his hat after sitting down, having it set on an empty space next to him which showcased his shaggy hair pulled back into a simple ponytail.
It didn’t take him long to notice his friend when he entered the restaurant, specifically due to Hibi’s greeting.
Sun just grins in response, Hau’s excitement being highly contagious. “Alola!” He mimicked him with doing the Alolan wave. “I’ve been good! A little stressed but nothing too bad. How about you?”
