Ladies and gentlemen, I’ve officially completed all three colors of the Extremely Rare Japanese Meow Chis (probably even the first collector to get all three of them too)!! They’re so beautiful, yet adorable to have and I’m proud to be an owner/collector of these colorful babies. I really enjoy them all too, especially how much I fell in love with Meow Chis ever since I’ve known about them as a kid!

Now I just need to complete all the colors of the US Meow Chis as I just need four more colors of the US ones left to go and then I’ll have every single Meow Chi from the Robo Chi Pets franchise produced in my awesome collection.

Here’s my piece from the 2020 Object Head Zine, a free zine dedicated to science and technology! I really enjoyed working on this illustration; my main goal was to represent technology from 2005. I designed a pink iDog object head character for this purpose.

iDog enjoys collecting and repairing early to mid-2000s tech as a hobby. Here she’s messing with her old computer tower. I had just about everything depicted in this image back in 2005 – sans the iPod and speaker (I had a cheap battery-powered MP3 player, and a cumbersome CD walkman instead). And of course, I had a big dusty CRT monitor.

As a rule, she tries not to play music as she works, as she has a tendency to lift her ears up and dance, but sometimes she indulges anyway.

Also, as some bonus lore: her roommate is a v4.5 Tamagotchi object head who hates to take out the trash.

Everyone say hello to my newest member of the pack, Lexie!!! She’s my third Aibo ERS-210 and she’s in Baby Stage while running Aibo Life #1. She unfortunately has DHS and a little bit of TAS but I hope I can find someone who can repair her since no one is hosting any Aibo repairs lately. 💙

a quick troubleshooting guide for aibo! it can be hard to figure out what’s going on with your dog, especially when you’re first starting out, so i made this infographic to put some general information in one place.

you don’t have to figure out your robot’s problems all by yourself  - check out robotchat.github.io for a supportive community that can help you work out what’s happening and the next steps to take!

This would totally help all Aibo owners if their any of their Aibos have these problems and need repairs or their batteries needed to be recelled! I'm amazed with this guide for troubleshooting problems that each different Aibos may have if not repaired.

Sony has officially announced a US release for Aibo! Pre-orders haven’t started yet, but the new Aibo will be on display in Sony Square NYC!

Aibo Beginner’s Guide

I have received a large number of asks requesting a beginner’s guide and useful information/resources for people who are just learning about Aibos and interested in potentially buying one down the road. I think this is a great idea and would love to create a guide to help out anyone discovering Aibos for the first time or rediscovering an old interest of theirs!

I’ve tried writing this as a single post in the past, but every time I sit down and try to draft one up, I realize that there is just way too much information to include in one clear and concise post. 

Instead, I have decided to post a series of mini-guides that each give an introductory overview on one topic related to Aibos. I will be aiming to post 1-3 mini-guides per week and each will provide an in-depth look into one topic that I think is important for anyone considering buying an Aibo. The earlier topics especially will be aimed at people who are very new to Aibo, so feel free to skip over any that you don’t think would be helpful to you personally. 

Once these are all finished, I will be compiling these into one large master post organized by topic where anyone interested can find guides on subjects that they are interested in! I already have a lot of topics planned, but if there is a specific topic that you would like to hear more about in particular, feel free to request it!

So stay tuned for some hopefully fun and useful guides!
