mangosauce
Since the whole craze over the parasites has ramped up, i am now cooking literally all of my vegetables and fruits just to be safe... I'm disabled, and to avoid becoming even more disabled, I have to be careful. That means this blog is about to have a lot of stuff on it. i won't always include my recipe though. i wonder if what i made is similar to an actual dish in another culture? For me, i like mango fresh and uncooked, but now i have to cook it, so i made this. It is delicious. i might never eat a raw mango again. i couldn't resist, so the picture you see is after i ate most of it.
need:
1 mango
1/2 lemon
something to cut the mango open
optional:
scissors to make it easier to get the mango off the pit
sugar
process:
i got all the mango off the seed including the skin
i put it inside a little saucepan
1/2 lemon i SQUEEZED THE LIFE OUT OF IT into the mango
i included like 4 tbsp of sugar (because i fear the power of the lemon)
i stirred it often over medium-high heat, until the consistency was kinda like preserves
i put it in a little ceramic casserole dish the size of a large rat, which fit the mango perfectly. Very aesthetic.
