Pairing: College!007n7 x reader

Summery: You have been left the load of your college newspaper, leaving you awake at your apartment dining table. Your roommate finds you working ^^
Note: this is for a friend so don’t expect any ting like this cuz I barely even know ts guy I was jst givin what they interpret his personality toe be LMAOA
You were a part of one of your college’s student publications, you worked on the weekly newspaper, handling research and interviews for the paper. Of course, you enjoyed it and loved what you did, but it did have its moments.
Today was a particularly “great” day because it was almost the last day to turn in the paper for the week ahead. However, one of the editors had come down with a sickness that basically left them bedridden and too tired to work on anything.
Which meant the work got pushed onto you, since the other editors were far too busy and decided you weren’t.
It didn’t bother you having to fill in as an editor, what did bother you was the fact that they gave it to you last minute and decided for you.
So now you’re sitting at your apartment dining table at four a.m., your laptop on, all the lights turned off except for the small one you placed next to you, which was originally on your desk in your room.
“Why are you up so late..?” a voice made you look up from your laptop’s bright, blinding screen. It was your roommate, 007n7. He’d always come out to get a drink of water in the middle of the night,more like a weird ritual he had.
You put your hands on your face and dragged them down. “I’m stuck doing editing for the newspaper.”
He scoffed, walking over to you.
“That’s not even your job.”
You groaned loudly and looked up at him. “Exactly… I mean, I don’t mind it..it’s just that they didn’t even ask me.”
He shook his head, pulling out the chair next to you and sitting down. “Anyone involved with the school shit are assholes. Of course they did that.”
“Besides you,” he cut you off before you could say anything else, making you chuckle slightly.
Looking back at the laptop, you sighed as you typed and edited away.
“I think you should go to bed. Not that I care or anything, but it’s pretty late… I’m sure you can pick it up again tomorrow,” he said, putting a hand on your shoulder and giving it a squeeze to stop you from typing.
You paused and looked at him again. “Eh, I don’t know… I don’t wanna have this drag on any longer, you know? I’d rather get it done now, Seven.” 007n7 sighed and shook his head before closing your laptop.
“Nah, I don’t wanna hear you bitchin’ about it later. Come on.” He stood up from the chair, urging you to get up.
“Hey! That was very unnecessary. What if I lost all my progress?” you groaned, but stood up from your chair as well.
He gave you a deadpan look. “Dude, just head to bed. Please.” There was a slight hint of pleading in his voice.
You thought about it..you could go to bed and finish it in a day or two… or you could continue and probably feel horrible about it when your body inevitably complained.
“To me it sounds like you care about me, Seven—”
“Don’t.” He cut you off with a groan.
You snorted quietly and gave him a smug smile.
“Fine, I’ll go to bed.” You grabbed your laptop, pushed in your chair, and turned off the light you brought from your room, deciding to deal with it later.
“Thank God,” he said before walking over to the kitchen and finally getting his ice-cold water.
“I’ll see you tomorrow. Nite”
“Night,” he called out as you quickly headed to your room and placed your laptop down.
With a stretch and a nod, you got under your covers.
Closing your eyes, you thought about your last interaction. He was weird at times, always acting rude or standoffish, then caring the next moment.
You didn’t mind, though. Not at all.
