Thank you so much everyone for helping me to reach 100 followers across all of my blogs!
it means the world to me, especially when I haven’t been active at all lately, but goodness it really does mean a lot. I wish I could do something to thank all of you, but I’ve been really distracted and busy lately. I plan on doing a giveaway at some point, but seriously, thank you all so very much, and I hope to be here for many more months! ♥

There’s a thick feeling of discontent which hangs in the air as the Inquisitor enters Irunya’s quarters. While she is not a mage herself, her brother is. Surrounding him with the Order of the Templar was a major concern. However, Irunya pledged her service and she was not one to be chased off easily. All she could do was ensure that her siblings lay low, or at the very least, are protected by the Inquisitor herself. With half of her usually bright smile, Irunya sets down the small wood carving she had been working on. It’s time to be kind, not to mope about decisions already made. “ Herald, ” she greets politely, “ Is there something I can help you with? ”
Emmaera knew there were a few amongst her ranks who disapproved of her decision to seek the aid of the Templars, it was inevitable, just as it would have been inevitably the same should she had sought out the mages. She didn’t enjoy upsetting people or even making such major decisions, but had listened to Cullen and Cassandra; they knew more about Templars and mages than she did, and while she felt sympathetic for mages, it seemed like the logical choice.
Smiling just as politely, the Herald clears her throat, nodding in greeting. “Hello Irunya, I ah—just wanted to check in. See how you and your siblings are doing, being treated, if you need anything.”
Getting characters to meet and interact for the first time can be tough to play out.
Lots of people find the first meetings between strangers to be difficult to plan, or boring to play.
Reblog this if you don’t mind skipping the intro RP and instead jump-starting interactions by plotting out what relationship your characters might have, be they friends, enemies, lovers, antagonists, etc.

“Is your leg bothering you? Here, let’s slow down.” She certainly wasn’t going to complain. Even with everyone’s help and training the long journeys on foot were still exhausting. The Inquisitor waved for her team to keep going at their current pace, Emmaera slowing until she was beside Olek. Her brows furrowed with worry, long ears flicking downward. “Does it act up a lot?”
EMMAERA’S CHOICES.
So it’s come to my attention I’ve never written up the choices Emmaera makes as Inquisitor. I guess I figured I could come up with the answers through threads, but that isn’t really practical because I’d have to know the answer ahead of time anyway. So here you are folks!! Emmaera’s official canon choices.
ALLY WITH TEMPLARS
This is most likely the hardest decision in the game for her to make. She originally leans towards allying with the mages, but after hearing the multiple horror stories about how unreliable and dangerous they are, she’s almost peer-pressured into allying with the Templars, being assured it’s the right decision to make. She has nothing against mages, and if she had chosen to seek aid from the Mages, she would have allied with them instead of conscripting them anyway.
LEAD FOR WHAT’S RIGHT
pretty self-explanatory.
ALLY WITH THE WARDENS
Emmaera is, first and foremost, a bleeding heart. She thinks the Wardens mean well and believes in their cause, so she would ally with them, hoping to help them get back on their feet and start over after Corypheus’s nonsense.
REUNITE BRIALA & CELENE
Emmaera is a huge admirer of Celene, and knew going to the Winter Palace she wanted to protect her and keep her on the throne. However, she’s also a bit of a hopeless romantic, and after discovering the affair, decides to make it her mission to help them get back together.
ACCEPT ABELA’S ALLIANCE
Abelas, admittedly, makes Emmaera horribly nervous. However, seeing as how most companions support her accepting the alliance, she goes ahead with it, even if personally she’s not sure if she trusts Abelas.
DRINKS FROM THE WELL
Okay, so, here’s the thing. Emmaera isn’t the strongest person out there. She’s easily pressured by those she cares about, and her companions/advisors are those people. More people (not counting Solas and Sera) prefer for the Inquisitor to drink from the Well. Emmaera most definitely would not want to drink from it, but also wouldn’t really trust Morrigan herself, and with everyone else saying she shouldn’t let Morrigan drink, she would feel she had no other choice.
i’ll update this as i figure out more about Emmaera!

DOES A SPLIT LIKE THIS FOR A STARTER FROM YOUR LOCAL BALL OF ANXIETY!
shiftysmugglerlook:
“Not the same, but still pretty.” For what that was worth. He’d only danced in private moments, more swaying hugs than actual dancing. If he tried anything like the Orlesian ball dances, he was sure he’d break something. If his leg didn’t give out on him first. The dwarf gave her a gentle smile. “No need t’ apologize, boss, it’s alright. The prep for the Halamshiral job makin’ you nervous?”
“Right, still pretty.” Even in private Emmaera wasn’t brave enough to try dancing, more of a ‘gently sway and nothing else’ kind of girl. Watching others dance though, that was fun, and drawing it even more so. Olek’s assumption was correct, Inquisitor moving gaze to nails that had become picked short, head nodding. “Is it that obvious?” Her voice squeaked softly followed by a quiet sigh. “It won’t be my first time at an Orlesian event, even a big one, but then I was just a painter, most people ignored me or assumed I worked there, but this time’s—different. Everyone is going to know who I am, and they’re going to be judging me for something I can’t do anything about. At least when my paintings were judged I could debate, I-I could improve upon the criticisms, but I can’t do anything about someone thinking I’m not qualified to be Inquisitor, e-especially when I know I’m not.”
koranatos:
Mehmet regarded her silently before a small smile peeked at the corner of his lips. It did not last long though. It never truly did. “Sometimes those within the order find the rather dark aesthetic to be pleasing,” he replied with some hint of amusement within his tone. Suppose if he were to be surprised about one thing is that this Mortalitasi went to an Orlesian and not a Nevarran painter. Surely their portrait would have been better, but alas, Mehmet held an obvious bias when one’s own kingdom is the very center for the arts. “It would be quite difficult for me if I did not like paintings or any kind of art,” Mehmet then started to answer politely. “In Nevarra, you are surrounded by it: paintings, sculptures, acting, the list goes on. So yes, I do quite enjoy art.” There was a brief pause before he continued with a question of his own. “I take it that you are exceptionally good at painting then, Lady Inquisitor?”
Stupid question, she thought, trying desperately to not appear too uncomfortable as the man regarded her. Always so small, so frightened of the littlest thing—it was a miracle (or some sick joke) that she was Inquisitor at all. “Oh, y-yes I suppose that’s true. I’ve always wanted to visit Nevarra, it sounds wonderful.” An artist’s sanctuary, a dream for someone who valued painting and the arts as a whole so highly like Emmaera. At Mehmet’s question she laughed anxiously, hands fidgeting with ends of ebony hair. “Oh, I–I wouldn’t say I’m exceptionally good, I mean I’m not bad by any means, it managed to support me just fine before all um–this. I would say I have room for improvement, but I also recognise that my art is good enough that Orlesian Nobility frequently commissions me. So I am...fairly good at painting, ser.”
“I’m doing my best damn it, I don’t know what more you want from me!” She snaps, baring teeth, eyes watery and threatening to flood cheeks with tears. There’s only so much one person can take, so much berating, nagging, pushing.
redoing that drawing i posted yesterday bc the post was really stiff and i hated it and i love this much more so far
