THE PERMANENT STAIN
silverargentvalkyrieâ:
Five months. Five months of hunting sobriety fractured in one subtle rustle of the wind. Allison promised herself that sheâd never fall back into the swing of that life without due cause. Her life stilled with the laziness newness of everything. Her heart suffered from the separation from the only family she knew but her mind focused from the self made solitude. Her fingers itched from the lust of the chase and her lungs burned from the uneven terrain that spanned between her and the last target on her agenda for the evening.Â
Allison jogged through the soft saturated sod; the heels of her boots hardly graced the surface of the marsh as she darted between the roots that spidered beneath the soil. Her cheek caked with blood, her own blood. That itself fueled the fire that burned desperately beneath her skin. The little bastard took a jab at her, still unsure of itself and the new reality that curved delicately before him. The hunter guild wanted security. They needed to know that the lands were clear and she didnât mind having to be the beacon of hope for such a decaying order.Â
The woods sprouted a familiar feeling in the center of her chest. How many times had she ventured passed these trees to discuss some poorly constructed plan with Stiles and Scott? Her heart ached at the remembrance of a simpler time.Â
Pop.
Pop.
Pop.
Her eyes lifted to the echoing sound of shots. Her own fingers tensed over the leather bound hilt of her crossbow. A standard long bow didnât seem to make sense for tonightâs festivities. Allison curved behind the covering tree with an intent to kill but her mind blanked at the sight of the once wiry young man standing behind the readied barrel of that .45. Her name sounded sour coming from his lips in juxtaposition to the strong form. Good stance, Stilinski.Â
Allisonâs eyes flickered back farther beyond him. The soft rustling of leaves voided the unexpected comfort that came from seeing him in the flesh. Her eyes darted back to him as she lifted her finger to her lips before nodding him step back behind the cover of the girth-y trunk. Â
Blinking furiously, Stiles continued to hold his stance, not dropping the weapon in front of him as he had been taught that at the academy, but mostly seeing Allison had surprised him more than he expected it would. Maybe it was because of the scenery they were in. Allison looked good, he had to admit. Healthy, even. Sure, she hadnât changed that much in six months, but still, there was something a little bit different about her nonetheless.Â
He continued to stare at her, in shock. As she continued to look at him ( probably thinking and having the same questions the same as he did ), he watched as she lifted a finger to her lips, hushing him and nodding at him to step aside. It was pretty obvious that she had been hunting something, or maybe even someone, when the two of them had bumped into each other. Nodding his head, he swallowed and did as she had requested of him, stepping aside and watching her the whole time. Was that blood on her face?
Keeping his finger in front of the trigger, he turned his head around and looked in the direction that Allison had been looking, narrowing his brown eyes as he instantly made himself become her back-up, which had been something that they had taught them at the academy in Quantico. Always have each otherâs backs. No matter what. Glancing at Allison, he nodded, as in a way to tell her to lead the way. The two of them definitely had a lot to catch up on, thatâs for sure; he thought as he followed her slowly.Â

HOMECOMING
courageouscamiâ:
She was here for Alaric. Here to ask all of the difficult questions about her twinâs death that heâd successfully avoided for so long. Now that she knew about the supernatural, a whole new world of possibilities - and potential suspects - had opened up for Cami. Alaric hadnât revealed a thing, but she remembered his discomfort well enough to wonder whether he too, knew more than heâd let on. Unfortunately, it seemed as though the tight-lipped detective had somehow foreseen her visit, because he was nowhere to be found. Heâd changed numbers, and staff-members too. The new ones didnât seem as easy to charm, unlike the last time sheâd been here in search of answers. Unwilling to give any information as to his whereabouts or when she might expect him to return. Everything seemed a lot more serious around the Agency. And so Cami had decided to cut her losses for the evening and try again the following Monday. But as she traced the corridors back towards the exit, she spotted a familiar face.
Well, not that familiar.
âHey!!â Cami greeted him, when Stiles recognized her. âI wasnât sure it was you by the back of your head; youâve grown out your mane a little bit, huh? And whoa, facial hair - youâre all grown up!â She smiled as she approached the teen. It was funny how humans found comfort in the static, in consistency⌠âIt hasnât been that long,â She told him softly, coming to a stop. âIâm still here to harass Alaric... Thereâs one thing that hasnât changed.â
Stiles smiled softly at the blonde as she approached him and when she pointed out the hair he had grown and the facial hair, he couldnât help but laugh a little bit as he moved his hand to the back of his neck, rubbing against it carefully before letting his hand drop to the side of his waist. âSix months actually,â Stiles responded when Camille pointed out that it hadnât been that long since they had seen each other last. Clearing his throat, he swayed back and forth on the back of his feet, while keeping his brown eyes on Camille. He knew he should get himself a haircut and trim it a little, but he hadnât gotten around to it yet.
âYou look... You look really great though.â She did look pretty good. Camille looked a lot better than she had in a long time in fact. Iâm still here to harass Alaric... Thereâs one thing that hasnât changed. A soft chuckle fell from the young humanâs lips and he nodded as he let his gaze drop to the floor for a second, before lifting his gaze and looking over at her again; looking over her shoulder to make sure that the new intern wasnât around. âHow... How are you doing? Youâre back here now for good, right?â
You can never explain how painful it is to say goodbye to someone you love.

THE PERMANENT STAIN
@silverargentvalkyrieâ
Stiles hadnât really bumped into a lot of old friends since coming back from Virginia, which had been both a blessing and a curse. It made the anticipation of bumping into them that much bigger and it definitely made him feel that familiar anxiousness that living in New Orleans had provided him with throughout the years, rise back up. At Quantico, where he got his ass handed to him more than once over the past six months, he had been working alongside a psychologist to try and deal with the panic attacks and the constant fear that something would happen to someone and he wouldnât be able to prevent it. It was one of tests that everyone attending the academy had to go through. A mental state evaluation of some sort. When he had gotten the green light, Stiles had to admit, it surprised him. Not that heâs not mentally stable, but with everything in his past - his mother first and foremost - and not having dealt with the grief correctly, he thought it would be the nail in the coffin.Â
As you are allowed to carry a gun in New Orleans when you turn seventeen, getting one, without a permit, hadnât been any problem, which in his personal opinion was ludacris but at least he would be able to work on his shooting abilities while away from campus and the teachers back at Quantico. He knew how to handle a gun ( something he didnât before ) but Stiles knew that he could definitely improve on that part of the future job. So, deciding to try and work on it while at home, he grabbed the gun he had registered on his name ( as well as told the appropriate people back at the academy ) and he went into the forrest behind his house. Stiles went as far into the woods as humanly possible, before he started to look around for something he could use as shooting targets.Â
About an hour or so went by and he had been practicing on a couple of trees when the night clouds started to quickly swallow the forrest, and him in it. Stiles was about to put his gun away, when he heard movements behind him. His attention span had gotten a lot better since he had been in New Orleans last, and he stood still; while his right hand was wrapped around the gun, his index finger rested on top of the trigger. Swallowing against the lump in his throat, he quickly moved over to one of the trees, hiding behind them, his back pressed against the wooden frame when he heard movements in the fallen leaves. Lifting the gun, he stepped out from behind the tree and quickly made his way forward, not really able to see anything in the dark to begin with, until a familiar person appeared in front of him.Â
âAâ Allison!?â
Thereâs a corner of my heart that is yours. And I donât mean for now, or until Iâve found somebody else, I mean forever. I mean to say that whether I fall in love a thousand times over or once or never again, thereâll always be a small quiet place in my heart that belongs only to you.

HOMECOMING
@courageouscami
Stiles decided to head over to his previous work place, where he had been an intern for the past couple of years while attending High School. He still felt incredibly proud and grateful that they had given him the chance to evolve and to nurture his passion to become a future FBI agent, as it had been something he had dreamt about becoming ever since he was a little boy. It was really good seeing you again and Iâm so glad to hear that youâre doing good at Quantico. Iâm certain that your Dad must be real proud of you too. Stiles smiled and nodded as he brushed his hands against his pants, before standing up from the seat he had been sitting in. âLikewise,â he spoke as he looked at the male.Â
Now, please donât make it six months until you come visit us again, alright? Laughing, he nodded and rubbed the back of his hand against his neck. âAlright, I will keep that in mind,â he spoke, holding his hand out and shaking the otherâs hand as soon as he grabbed hold of it. Turning around on the back of his heels, Stiles walked out of the office and made his way towards the little corner where he had spent a lot of long nights working on supernatural & human crimes and mysteries. It still looked the same as it had when it had been his. Sure, six months hadnât been that long, but at the same time, it felt like it had been years since he had been back in New Orleans. Time was definitely a peculiar thing. He walked over to the wall, where he had used red yarn to connect the dots on cases that he had worked on and seeing it still being there made his heart swell. Swallowing against the lump in his throat, he blinked and when he heard a noise behind him, he turned around, expecting to have to apologize to the new intern for snooping around, but his dark-brown eyes fell upon someone he hadnât seen or spoken to in a long time. Camille OâConnell.Â
âCamille. Hey. Wow, itâs.. Itâs been a while.âÂ
THE CURSE OF HOME
QUANTICO, VIRGINIA SIX MONTHS AFTER LEAVING NEW ORLEANS.Â
It had been a couple of extremely peaceful couple of months since Stiles had left New Orleans. He had focused on his school work and getting up and forward within a possible FBI career, and though it had been difficult to not worry about the people at home, he knew that he needed to leave. It was okay to want something for yourself every once in a while, after all, and this was something that Stiles wanted. He wanted to be able to help people in the future, like Scott. Well, not exactly like Scott, obviously, but in his own way. So, are you going home, Stiles? Turning his head around, he looked at Laura and he took a deep breath, nodding his head slowly. âYeah, I think I might. I havenât seen my Dad since I got here, so I thought I would go home and pay him a visit. What about you?â Definitely. I miss my little brother and my parents, plus Iâll get to see Tate too which is a huge plus.Â
Smiling softly at the girl, Stiles reached out and gave her a tight hug as the two of them stood in the parking lot of the campus. âIâll see you when I get back, then.â Of course. And Stiles? Listen to me, please, put your detective ways on the shelves, and just... Enjoy your time at home with you Dad and your friends. Friends. He hadnât really spoken to anyone in a while, and it had been quite heartbreaking to him. The only person he had spoken to had been Scott. What he had been afraid of happening, had happened. Once they went their separated ways... âThanks, Laur.â
15 HOURS AND 30 MINUTE DRIVE LATER NEW ORLEANS, LOUISIANA
Stiles was about forty-five minutes away from home, and he could feel his heart pound harshly against his chest as the environment around him felt familiar. Sitting inside of the jeep, which he had brought with him, he tapped his fingers against the steering wheel. He looked different than when he left. His hair had grown, and his face looked a little more tired than usual and had bruises covering the skin. His chin was covered in tiny stubbles but his way of dressing still made you remember the good old Stiles. He was wearing a pair of dark pants, with a grey t-shirt above a dark and light grey, checkered shirt. His phone buzzed and he looked at it, seeing that he had gotten a text from Laura, asking whether he had arrived yet or not.Â
Since arriving at Quantico, Stiles had gotten his own little group of friends there, as they were going through the same tough routine every day, but Stiles had kept in contact with Scott, and they pretty much spoke every day, in one way or another.Â
What was it going to be like once he got back home? Would it be really different or would it be as if nothing had changed? Would his room be like time traveling back to high school? As if time had stood still? Pulling the car off the road and on to the one that would lead him over to his childhood home. Leaning his forearms against the steering wheel, Stiles looked out of the front at the neighborhood that he had experienced quite a lot in during the years he had lived there. Once he arrived at his house, he parked the jeep outside and sat in the car for a good minute or two before jumping out of it, grabbing his duffle bag from the back of the vehicle, throwing it onto his back before making his way over to the door located on the front porch. Knocking on the door, he almost felt like an alien standing there waiting to be let inside. He had only been gone for six months, but it was pretty insane how much you could change in that period of time. It didnât take too long until the door opened and the surprised look on his Dadâs face was impossible not to see.Â
Stiles.
âHey, Dad.â
Feelin his Dadâs hand on his shoulder, he got pulled in and he dropped the duffle bag on the ground as he wrapped both of his arms around his Dadâs waist, burying his face in the older manâs shoulder. Iâve missed you, kiddo. âI have missed you too, Dad,â he spoke, the words coming out muffled but strong nonetheless. Come on. Letâs get you inside. His Dad reached down and took the duffle bag before Stiles could protest, and within the blink of an eye, his Dad made him feel 100% better about being back. Maybe this wouldnât be so bad?
