honestly kinda too bad that whole “sal getting kicked out and getting a job at the museum” happens like. so quickly between things bc it would’ve been soooo funny if stinky and papierwaite interacted pre-devil’s playhouse

on this topic tho it is a weirdly underutilized like. piece of worldbuilding. papierwaite has been curator of that museum for years. like it’s a good thing sam and max never got around to visiting the museum prior to tdp bc i’m pretty sure if papierwaite saw these two guys walking around, the spitting image of sameth and maximus…he would’ve just. died.

but it brings up a larger question of like. he absolutely could’ve interacted with or seen other ppl and neither party ever knows/realizes. like hello.

I wanted to share, I was looking through a gamerpic archive site last night, and it turns out that while it wasn't in the main season 2 pack there IS actually a gamerpic for Girl Stinky on Xbox 360! It was one of those that were distributed through a magazine disc instead

Skunkape and Papierwaite look good in remastered screenshots.

I really like how they seem to blend better with the other characters; not to knock Ryan Jones’s art (I really enjoy it) but it was very obvious the season three characters were drawn by someone else compared to the first two seasons where Steve did them.

The colors and cel-shaded look though makes everything look more like it was done by one person. Though it’s also possible their models got tweaked a bit to fit in better with the others as well.

Also glad Maximus got his newsboy back.

i agree! that is one thing that really struck me when i looked at the screenshots: papierwaite looked really good. his model was always kinda janky imo (and i mean that lovingly), but i am super impressed with his remastered look. there’s definitely more of an overall sense of cohesiveness. ryan jones’ art is phenomenal and is a huge inspiration for me, but i wouldn’t say it’s the easiest to translate into 3D. especially for the general look of the sam and max telltale games. they definitely softened the edges of these models in the remaster and i think it worked out beautifully. super excited to see them in motion.

and i gasped when i saw the paperboy hat. i’m so glad they brought that back; it makes me soooo happy to see them go back to the old concept art and take notes from those in all these remasters (jurgen’s car keys……still so thankful for that)
