I’m sorry. I’m sorry to the boy who stops me in a coffee shop and asks me for my number. I’m sorry to the boy who tells me I’m the prettiest girl he’s ever met. I’m sorry to the boy who lays his heart on the line for me and doesn’t get mine in return. I’m sorry to the boy who tells me he loves me and gets awkward silence and my disappearance in response. I’m sorry, because even when I try my hardest to get him out of my head, he’s always there. When I wake up in the morning he’s the first thought that enters my head, and when I go to sleep at night he’s the thought that sings me to sleep. So this is an apology to all the boys who will try and win my heart, because unfortunately it’s a prize that’s already been taken by a boy who could give less of a fuck about the fact that he won it.
