105. What is a pagan or witchcraft rule that you preach but don’t practice?
That's a hard one because I don't think there are all that many rules in witchcraft. There are plenty of things people say you should do that I don't do, but I also don't "preach" these things I don't "practice."
Probably record-keeping is the one thing I recommend very highly and don't always do such a great job of myself.

Yes. I prefer meat in small amounts but that's just a personal dietary preference, nothing spiritual, and I do eat it.

I believe in many gods--I am by nature a fairly hard polytheist and I perceive deity as many individual entities.
That said, I make no claims on the accuracy of this belief--just that that is how I myself best relate to the gods.

I think everything gets easier with time and practice. Although I think it's also likely that with time and practice we will increase the complexity of our spells, so that will affect how easy we find the work.

It's been a very long time and I don't remember it in detail, which probably means that it went neither very badly nor very well.

I think that depends on what you are trying to accomplish, but in general a place where you are comfortable, relaxed and unlikely to be interrupted is best, wherever that may be.

Night. I'm not a morning person, I do better work late at night than earlier in the day, I can concentrate better at night than during the day. It's just a time when I am more comfortable.

Visualization is the one and only magical technique that does come easily to me; I took to it like a duck to water. I do it all the time without even thinking about it--it's second nature to me.

94. What techniques do you use to 'get in the zone’ for meditation?
I actually have a few physical tricks for this.
First, relax your jaw; this signals to the rest of your body that it's time to lose the tension. (I learned that one in Lamaze class. :)) Then open your hands, make sure they aren't clenched into fists. Finally, drop your shoulders to relax your back.

93. What’s one piece of advice you’d give someone who is searching for their matron and patron deities?
Don't rush it. You don't need a matron or patron deity in order to worship or honor the gods. And you don't need to limit yourself to two gods. And you don't have to honor the same gods at all times.
But if you want to get to know a god, just introduce yourself. They are usually open to respectful prayer from new people.

There is a grove where we used to hold ritual, surrounded by trees in the middle of a small wood. At certain times of year it was filled with wild mint and the scent was amazing.

90. Do you believe you can initiate yourself or do you have to be initiated by another witch or coven?
It depends on the tradition. In some traditions you do need to be initiated (you can't initiate yourself Gardnerian, for example) but in other traditions, or as an eclectic, you can.
In addition, initiation itself may or may not be important in your practice or in your faith.

Nothing but an interest, which I think is pretty common among young people.
