Ammonia and Vinegar

I.

I can still smell it,

ammonia will do its job,

and clear any subsequent doubts

that there would've ever been

anything worth keeping alive here.

The smallest corpses, bacteria,

are no match for the undiluted solution.

A scaled down carnage whose

sole purpose is to corrode its home.

Little by little,

it alll dilutes and blurs.

I told you it's alright, didn't I? After all, am I not repurposed waste?

Come on, I'm not going to make you waste all this good ink and wine on a second rate poet, now am I?

You see, I was born, then made to die, then changed. I changed so much. And you see? I got soiled off my potential, became what I shouldn't.

Still, I'm not so bad.

It's not so bad, is it? I'm not dissected or scrutinised.

I am, I do.

I do what I'm supposed to, call it a day.

A day, a night, a week, a job well done.

I do, I am, I work. I am, I do, I work.

havent actively been on this website since i was uuuuhhhhhhhh 14 so this is fun! im not scared at all!!!! i will be posting poetry here though. i need my lamentations and woes to be perceived, that way they dont feel as useless
