He frowned. He could sense she was upset. It didn’t seem like she belonged out here. She really must have sleep walked pretty far…
“Do you know where it was you stayed? I might know it.” He offered, picking up a stick to stoke the fire to encourage the flames to grow.
“You are welcome to stay until you can find them.”
She had to think a moment, but finally said the name of a town not too far away from the forest, but definitely farther than she could possibly have walked without noticing. She pulled her legs up to her chest, hugging them.
“Thank you. That’s very kind,” she replied. She might have suggested heading out as soon as possible, but all thoughts scattered as her stomach growled. Loudly.
“Oh!”
He pursed his lips and stroked his beard in thought as he mentally mapped out the surrounding area, thinking of the fastest route back to said town.
"You came a long way asleep, winged lady." He humoured.
His brows rose when her stomach rumbled, and he seemed to jump in response as he remembered.
"Ah, I have food--!" He reached behind him to untie the rabbit from his belt, standing quickly to prepare a spit over the fire.
"It will be ready soon. I apologise. My mind wanders easily." He shook off the embarrassment with a laugh.
