Stony Brook Reservation

Come with us as we explore and document the changing seasons in Boston's Stony Brook Reservation woods. Stony Brook is 475 acre reservation at the southeastern edge of Boston. It is part of the Metropolitan Park system that surrounds Greater Boston and also includes the Blue Hills and Middlesex Fells. This park system was formed under the guidance of Charles Eliot (a protege of Frederick Law Olmsted) to preserve undeveloped land for the enjoyment of urban residents. The land for the reservation was acquired in 1893.
