I think I should rewrite my g*om*r bio. Update it with more of a concise reason why I’m there. Or anywhere for that matter.
I feel like people kind of gloss over the fact it states I’m not looking for anything more than a friendship right now, but the past 10 months I’ve had four people get really pissed off about the fact I don’t want to date for relationship goals.
I need people I can be myself around and do fun things with and be social before I dive in to co-existing with another person for the rest of my existence.
I may have gone about the gay lifestyle backwards, where you’re promiscuous when you’re young and then you settle down when you’re older.
I settled when I was young… and now that I’ve gone through all the heartache and experience and love and fun that you can with a relationship I’m ready to just… be me, with friends, and have fun. I’m finding I don’t have energy to devote more than friendship-like relationship right now. I’m not saying this is a forever thing, but I know if I get into another “relationship” before making sure I’m okay enough to handle it - we’re both going to end up in heartache and that’s the last thing I want.
So - let it be known here, I’m definitely up for chatting, definitely up for meeting in person and developing a friendship, and maybe playing around a bit, but I don’t have the ability to move past that -at this time-. The door is closed but not locked.
