Know your signs! There are various signs on the road, researching and knowing what each of them mean is the best way to know what is going on around you and what to expect while driving.

Do you think it is dangerous to run a yellow light? Or do you try and beat the light before it turns red?

What You Can Do To Help!

Do not run yellow lights. As long as it is safe to do so, you should come to a stop when a light turns yellow. There will always be times where it is too late to stop but if you can, stop. If you do not fully make it across the intersection with your car before the light turns red, then you just ran a red light, which is grounds for getting a traffic ticket. Running yellow lights may also impede traffic of individuals who's light just turned green.

Did You Know?

Did you know that you are supposed to come to a complete stop at a stop sign? Failing to do so is referred to as a rolling stop and is illegal.

What You Can Do To Help

Stay calm. I know. It's hard to stay calm. Especially when another driver makes your blood boil. But road rage is dangerous and can lead to tragedy. Just take a deep breath and keep calm.

What You Can Do to Help

Report bad drivers. There are apps such as BadDriver which keeps a database of bad drivers from around the United States. You can also dial 911 if you see a particularly dangerous driver. Just pull off the road to a safe location, give the model of the car, license plate, and driver description along with the direction the car was going, street name, and what happened and an attempt will be made to send a nearby police officer to investigate.

Did You Know?

When turning onto another street that contains more than one lane, you are supposed to use the lane closest to you? (i.e turning left you should turn into the left most lane of the intersection in question and turning right you should turn into the right most lane)

What Can You Do to Help??

Slow down! Going over the speed limit, even by 5mph can increase the fatality of an accident 40%. The faster you are going, the harder it is to control your car if something were to happen and the greater the consequences if something does happen. Just drive the speed limit!
