Love and Patience

I’ve imagined a relationship with certain individuals so many times, and in those times I’ve 100% felt disappointed facing reality - it’s not going to happen. The truth is, we have so many expectations and not enough of an open mind. We demand experiences just to get that feeling of butterflies. The truth is, whatever comes naturally in the future is worth waiting for. 

In our time now, “love” is rushed; Tinder, Coffee Meets Bagels, Match.com all offer the same concept - finding love NOW. The feeling dating sites offer is great, but it’s temporary; how can we have a strong feeling about individuals who we don’t fully know and understand? 

They say love has its own time, this I now believe. I’m one of them, those who downloaded applications to find someone who’d make me feel special, noticed, and appreciated. Until this past weekend.

I met a person who I conversed with during walks from bars to clubs and vice versa with friends. He wasn’t like any other guy I’ve met before - believe me! - he asked me questions about life, family, goals, dreams, etc, etc! He was my reminder. My reminder that love cannot be rushed, that it has its own timing, that waiting will be worth it because someone out there is waiting for you, too.

Hope for humanity

The beauty of life comes from the roots, comes from the people who stand by us, but why do people choose to drag their friends down rather than pull and push them up to the higher ground?

I'm not venting. It's just something I noticed. With individuals doing so, in relation to anything a person goes through, I'm not surprised why the economy and the world in general continues to fall. It's not the numbers, it's not the government; it's the people on and in it, it's the people who continuously drag each other down to "better" themselves. By doing so, everyone else is affected; especially when people who do this are those in the highest position. 

Hope for humanity? Yes, but how much can we hope?

Fall with a View

I started without knowing, I fell without thinking, and now I'm strong while standing.

Sometimes you make the biggest mistakes; mistakes you need to keep hidden, mistakes that haunt you in your dreams, and mistakes that fix everything.

Before I knew it my world was falling apart, as in everything I've worked for was going to waste; but that fall made me realize that I could stand right back again. You just realize that there's light after hope when you fall and the view's wide open. 

I'm not gonna tell the whole story, but to make it short...let go of what you can't control, achieve what you dreams make you out of, and never let go of hope.

Handle With Care

Time to time we find ourselves stuck, or worse, broken inside. But how do we know our hearts are capable of what’s to come? How do we know there’s no more happiness beyond our tears spiraling down? How do we know there’s no positivity, no more emotions, no more hope?

I think being broken is a gift; a gift everyone has deep inside. Some hide it, some can handle it, but some breaks and breaks all over again.

Being broken comes from within, from thoughts, from hurt that never found its way out; it’s a gift that pushes every tear, every emotion, every pain out the window, out your soul. It’s a gift that never fails to release all the knives thrown at your heart to help us prepare for new ones to come; it’s a gift that punches every rock to move at least an inch from who you are to show you are strong, and capable of handling more; it’s a gift that heals wounds in time to let us experience the happiness that comes after; it’s a gift that eases your heart, your mind, and your soul to show that there’s tomorrow, there’s another opportunity; it’s a gift waiting to be used to show positivity, new emotions; it’s a gift waiting to be handled with care by hope.
