Star: PLEASE tell me you did not drag Michael into this
*muffled sounds of banging from the back of the cave*
Star: who is that
David: I think you know
Jesper is an amazing character
I'm so tired of people joking he's not smart or flattening him to just being comic relief, or acting like he's just there to further Wylan's story

@thoushallnotfear
So I was listening to a podcast called Horror Queers on which they were discussing The Lost Boys movie. (The musical hadnât come out yet.) The guest podcaster (who was brought on as someone who loves the movie, while the male hosts found it to be âmehâ) is talking about how as a kid, she LOVED The Lost Boys and wanted to be a cool punk vampire.
One of the other hosts is all âSo YOU wanted to be a cool punk vampire, while when I was a kid, I wanted cool powers like MATILDA.â And then she was all âWhy not both?â and the third podcaster pitched a crossover and how fun it would be to have a piece of media in which David babysits Matilda đ.
I LOVE IT! Iâm too tired to write that fanfic, so Iâm promoting their idea in the hopes that someone writes this.
shoshana beanâs reply to patti luponeâs (very racist) comments regarding kecia lewis and audra mcdonald is so important
more tlbm headcanons that no one asked for but i have been unable to stop thinking of:
dwayne is the reason they started a band. [with insight given from sean, thank you sean, 'dwayne was willing to be a vampire if he joined a band'] davidâwho liked much much older musicâand markoâwho was down to try anything with all the time in the worldâstarted 'the lost boys' with a human dwayne, who basically taught them how to play/perform. he was offered the blood as a way to keep playing forever (obvi, dwayne said yes)
paul has a parallel-type of story to michael, in the way that he was enamored by the boys performing and became a part of their circle. he played for their band as a human (they did really need a good drummer who lasted) and after a few 'beers' over the span of a couple weeks, witnessed the beach ambush. unlike michael, freedom was a taste all too sweet on his tongue. paul was a kid under a lot of pressure from family, and ONLY started "letting loose" (smoking, drinking, etc) once he met the boys [aka until we get any lore from dean, i'm making it]
(also in my own little world, paul KNOWS the boys are vampires when he first meets them. i imagine him the son of vampire hunters, who decided to play the role of 'prey' with the boys and vice-versa, but they both end up growing to care for each other like...well brothers. Paul's family tries to avenge him, but their blood didn't flow through him anymore.)
with the bits we DO know, star was a runaway. a musician who wanted to 'make it big' somehow in california, she ended up a ghost in the streets. santa carla would have been her grave, if david hadn't caught sight of her busking on the boardwalk. he told her about their show that nightâand much like the one turned before her and eventually afterâwas enamored by the boys. they took her in like family, gave her a sense of belonging (ie. marko helping upcycle what she had and find her 'style', dwayne being both a rock and enabler she could rely on, paul like a kid brother she never had, and david like a weirdly paternal mentor). The killing part stopped her dead, and gave way to a tense relationship with her own feelings between who she believed and saw the boys to be, and who they "truly" are.
a little marko and paul lore for you guys, courtesy of brian flores and dean maupin. sean didn't stagedoor or you know i would have gotten the scoop on dwayne too.
brian has also written a bunch of stuff on marko's backstory. he said that marko's home life was similar to michael's. he came from a very toxic/abusive home. he ran away from southern california to santa carla. david saved him from almost dying on the boardwalk. he wants to make sure everyone knows that marko was turned first lol.
paul's father introduced him to music. he played guitar for a blues group. their relationship soured because paul's dad didn't like that paul was playing rock music.
flashback to when I got a little too gnc in my new profile pic, and my mom caught on that I had The Gender (which she was super supportive about, tbc), but didn't want to ask about it outright. so she started making up never-before-seen euphemisms
