"Shut the fuck up," Saoirse snarls, whipping around to him. Who the fuck did he think he was, talking to her about her past? Where the fuck did he think he got the right?

"You're lucky my sister talked me out of putting a bullet through your brain. But I make no promises about non-lethal harm."

Waylon raises an eyebrow and takes a small step back. His eyes flit to Elena for a moment questioningly.

She just shakes her head and sighs. "I showed you the most likely outcome of this. Do you just have a death wish?"

Waylon face flickers into a scowl for a moment before he sighs, raising his hands slightly in surrender. "I'm here to try and make amends. Neither of us are going anywhere, and I'd like to help if I can."

Hemlock lets out a dry chuckle and nods. There are, indeed. The apocalypse feels like it shook everyone to their core, and now they're still trying to rebuild. "Absolutely. I kind of think it's a miracle more of us aren't soulless monsters these days..."

Waylon just sighs and shakes his head. He should've kept his mouth shut sooner, but there's not much he can do now. Normally, he wouldn't care who knew about who he takes home, but he knows James is private about stuff like this.

He rolls his eyes a little. "No, I pay attention. I just don't keep note. If it doesn't concern me, then it's information I don't need after the moment has ended."

Madeline shivers lightly when they growl, her cheeks heating up just slightly. She keeps her eyes trained on their phone trying to pretend like her reaction didn't just happen. The video is interesting so it's not entirely hard to throw her focus completely on it, instead of the fact she's sitting in their lap.

It's not long before Atlas happens to walk past their office door. He almost doesn't catch it at first, and he stops a few steps past the door. Backing up a little, he peeks into their office and raises an eyebrow. He gestures a bit wildly to the two of them in complete exasperation. "Are you--? Is she--? You two have got to be fucking with me right now, I swear."

Violet hates being up this early, but her mother wants her on a plane in an hour for another job, and there's not much else she can do. An alert pings on her phone when the motion sensor catches someone at the front door. She has to do a double take when she sees who it is. Arguably the last person she expected to be at her door this early in the morning.

She shoves the last of her things into a duffle bag and zips it up, slinging it over her shoulder before going to answer the door. The cold stings a little as she slips outside, and she wraps her arms around herself to preserve warmth. "What're you doing here, Cordelia?"

#13. Uncomfortably Numb by Arrows in Action & Taylor Acorn

Sadie finds herself backed into a corner of the small house, slowly sliding down the wall. She's been over a few times, since the birth and everything that followed. Violet wants her here, apparently. She's not sure she believes her, but she obliges anyway. Getting to see Bee is always nice. The little girl is a sweetheart, or... as much of a sweetheart as a newborn can be.

But some days it's too much. Being here, with them... As much as she wants to be, she's not a part of this happy little family. And it's painfully obvious in the way everyone else treats her. None of them trust her. She understands why, but that doesn't mean it doesn't hurt.

Sometimes she wishes she could go back to being numb to it all. Feeling all of these conflicting feelings is too much for her. She doesn't even realize when she's begun to cry, only noticing when she wipes her face automatically as she sees a shadow walk towards her. She stands quickly and tries her best to look like she isn't two seconds from a breakdown. "S-sorry, I can go. Tell Violet I said bye?"

Sadie can't help but smile too. She's glad to see him so happy, so... free. After everything they've been through, he more than deserves it.

Her face falls slightly at the mention of what's going on with Violet. "Has she not...?"

She trails off a bit, eyes wide. Of course, she wouldn't have told Daniel. She hasn't even really told Sadie. The only reason she knows is because the other woman answered a phone call while she was over the other day and she happened to overhear.

#37. Love Don't Die by The Fray

Yarrow grabs Rebecca's hand lightly, and gives it a gentle squeeze. "If there's one thing I know, it's that I'm not going anywhere. I love you." Spencer gags jokingly from where he's sitting on the couch, and Yarrow just shakes his head with a small sigh. "Hold please."

He grabs a pillow with his one free hand and tosses it as Spencer's head. "As if you're any better."

Loriss has to pause for a moment when she calls him that. He hadn't told anyone that he'd been feeling less and less connected to his old name. The only reason he'd changed it was to help smooth over the transition with Cora, but even with most of his memories back, he still hasn't really felt like Yarrow in a while. Of course, if anyone was going to notice, it would be Rebecca. He just looks at her for a moment, in slight shock, awe, and complete adoration. God, he loves her so much.

It takes him a second to remember they are, in fact, on a call, and he clears his throat and turns back to the camera. "Hi, it's wicked to meet you."

Spencer just looks between the two of them with a raised eyebrow but doesn't question it for now.

Her smile widens and her eyes sparkle as she sighs softly. "Knowing that she likes me back, that we're actually trying this... It's a dream come true, honestly."

Thaïs can't help but chuckle as well. "Okay, yeah, you make a good point." Her smile softens and she cocks her head a little. "Thank you. I'm glad to be around. You and Ozwell both have really taken me in, and I really appreciate getting to be friends with you guys... Ozwell's coping through drugs excluded."
