Greetings:
There has been some personal issues I have been dealing with and it's going to take longer than I expect to be. I am putting my Tumblr feed on hiatus until all of this is resolved. The collection is still intact.
When I come back, I think I am going to more shoe posts. It depends on how I feel about things.
Again, this thread is on hiatus and I invited everyone to go back and visit my past postings.
Thank you.
Notice:
I am not going to be posting on Tumblr for the next few weeks or more.
There is some personal business that is taking me away for all of my social media and e-commerce.
We are going to be back stronger in a few weeks.
Thank You

I am a bit sad and moody today. I trying to cheer myself up with my favorite vintage 1990s long flannel plaid skirt from Land's End (when they were good), hunter green knit Italian tights from Rachel and my favorite, worn pair of black and white Muffy's Sport Saddle Shoes. I also have a pair of knee length bloomers under the skirt.
Green and white saddle shoes with bobbie socks.
I am going through the collection and I am going to start highlighting a few pieces as I have time to.
Salvatore Ferragamo Vera Pumps in brown
This is a very nice example. Hardly worn. I have a few pair that have been in the trenches and back. I would wear these with one of my suit sets with a skirt.
Going through the collection. I am liquidating parts of my collection that doesn't make sense anymore.
I have placed a few of my Laura Asley dresses up on Poshmark. This model is an 1980s vintage burgundy plaid dress with lace collar and neck tie. Great condition for it's age. A wool dress that needs a cleaning. No noticeable moth holes in the material. I bought most of my Laura Ashley stuff before the prices went crazy.
There is a story behind this pair of size 15 ballet flats.
Back in 2016, I was going through Pinterest looking at stuff. When I came across a really girly pair of ballet flats with these outrageous bows on them. It was a pin uploaded by an Australian company calling themselves "Shoes of Prey". At that moment I fell in love with those shoes. I have to get myself a pair. I was in luck they had a working website. All flats started at 89 dollars a piece. Okay, the price seems right. Come to find out, it a custom shoe company that makes shoes in various styles and colors to your liking. The catch is all adornments have a-la-carte pricing. If you want two different colors it was 20 dollars extra, add a strap or a bow it was 10 dollars extra. If I ordered the same ballet flats I saw in the Pinterest post, it would cost me 240 dollars before shipping and taxes. I paused, stared at the screen and had to think about it.
Unknowingly, I didn't realize I was typing all of this information into a zombie website. A month prior, the couple that was running the business settled a divorce and as part of the settlement the business was going to cease operations. At the time of the divorce, this company was booming. They were supplying high end department store around the world with their shoes. This was one of the first online companies that was completely inclusive about their footwear. Since they were a custom shop, Shoes of Prey made shoes in womens sizes 2 to 15. They made it known they were gay friendly and had few citations from the gay community for their cooperation. All of this good work was flushed down the tubes because two people couldn't get along.
Unable to order anything from them, I automatically put out a eBay saved search for the brand. In about 6 months of searches, this pair of ballet flats came up on eBay. This pair was in California and was a size 15. Shoot. The buyer put up measurements in the description. I convinced myself I can make it happen because these shoes are very similar to the Pinterest post I saw. A couple of days later, I merrily paid the buyer whatever she wanted for them. In two weeks time they came to my door.
This are lightly worn. It had the instep strap and bows in front and back. The black and white color was reversed on the Pinterest post but it has the front and back bows minus the strap. When I tried them on, boy are they long. My feet slip in and out of them with ease. I couldn't wear them but I figured to keep them around at a reminder of an opportunity missed. No other pair like these has surfaced anywhere through 3rd party sellers.
They are very cute. I liked the bows in the back.
The black pair of ballet flats are a women's 7 1/2 US. There is a quite a difference in size between them.
A messy assortment of pictures.
We just had a hard frost and it's a bit cool in the house. It's too warm to put the heat on. I decided to layer up to combat the chill.
I found my favorite Pendleton long plaid skirt, underneath I wanted to wear my plain heavy cotton petticoat. I had to settle for the petticoat with the ruffles (it never looks right with this skirt). To go with the outfit, I dug out my dark tan fleece tights and to make it a realistic 50s teenage girl outfit, my Muffy's brown and white saddle shoes with the white soles. I am also wearing, not shown, a white peter pan collar blouse and pullover hunter green sweater (jumper).
With this outfit on, I am all nice and cozy warm.
More to come and please check out my other post in this timeline. Thank you.
Going off into storage.
We are temporarily back. I am still shut down due to illness. There has been some opportunities to take a picture here or there for this forum.
It's a bit chilly today. I decided to put on one of my fall outfits on. I am wearing my Pendleton Black Stewart plaid wool skirt, with a red turtleneck and black cardigan. I paired the outfit with black knit sweater tights (with the little fuzzy balls attached) and my new Hot Chocolate Design black and white saddle canvas sneakers. It's not visually correct, but I have been dying to wear this pair of shoes with one of my plaid skirt outfits for while now.
Greetings.
There hasn't been any posting on this forum because I have been sick. As soon as I become better, there will be new content.
Thank You.
Today's Brunch Outfit
I am running out to Brunch this morning in my blue plaid ruffle hem dress from Gymboree (Yes, I have Mommy wear on), ivory tights from Target and pale pink leather mary jane sneakers from Keds. This outfit is so cute!
Here is today's outfit. When you get a cool day in the middle of summer, you take full advantage of it. There's been way too many posts on Tumblr for the return of autumn so you can break out the sweaters, wool skirts, and cute knit tights. That was the inspiration for today's outfit.
I have on just for the photograph, a red knit turtleneck, navy blue cardigan sweater (both from Land's End), a vintage Pendleton wool plaid skirt (complete with moth holes in the front), Swedish wool blend knit tights in red and my classic navy blue and white saddle shoes from Willits.
This is one of my favorite outfits that I have created from the collection. I love the skirt, including the crew holes. The plaid is awesome, very vintage. It could be placed in a wartime outfit, an outfit from the fifties or a revival in the 1980s. It's a straight skirt as well, meaning I don't need a petticoat underneath to give it a bit of life. I like that all of the fabric in this outfit is natural fibers. I can stay warm while not being suffocated by the lack of air flow from synthetic material.
I was running late for work and rushed the picture. You can see the movement of me posing very quickly in front of the tablet.
This morning was me doing the school girl thing.
White knee-high socks and black mary jane comfort flats along with a plaid jumper dress.
I have an announcement to make.
I am accepting memberships for the Storytellerthor Patreon account. For 5 dollars a month, you can get unlimited access to my media, especially exclusive videos that Tumblr wants to flag even though it's clean and harmless. Remember, they flag a unboxing video.
Sharing my collection of vintage and school uniform dresses and skirts.
Content will be uploaded shortly.
When I looked at my post I did the other day and saw the pair of black cross-strap ballet flats I wore with the plaid mommy and me dress, I thought, boy, my feet looked big in those shoes.
The same illusion happens when I rock my vintage pairs of Rockport cross-strap ballet pumps.
My feet are larger than average (size 11 vs. Size 8). They are really pronounced when I am wearing these cross-strap flats. My feet are long, sausage shaped appendages in those shoes.
Here's some other shots that show how long my feet are in these shoes.
The light blue shoe is being slow stretched out for a future post. The pair of shoes were so cute, I had to get it even though it's a couple of sizes smaller than what I wear.

P.S. I tagged the post as adult content because of the written captions.
I bought some of those plastic shoe boxes for some of my shoes. My very large size 15 ballet flats, I used in some past videos bearly fit inside in box. They are so long. If you don't know what I am talking about, please go back and view my huge ballet flat try-on videos here on Tumblr.
