men will literally be a mentally ill guy's revenge/rebound boyfriend for 70+ years instead of going to therapy
okay but Rashid revealing himself to be Armand and Louis calling him "the love of his life" with that forced look on his face felt like watching a horror movie where it's revealed the protagonist never truly escaped the monster and they're still trapped
unfortunately I have a new hyperfixation. More unfortunately it is interview with a vampire the show.
i will not elaborate
what your emotional support vampire says about you
or alternatively, what i think of you based on your emotional support vampire
i've always wanted to make one of these
daniel molloy is so funny. "you both fucked lestat?" he says with disgust as if he himself is not actively trying to be the third in a vampiric relationship at that very moment.
“but amongst the pastiche of war and desire, beauty and damage, i saw claudia, in an impossible afternoon light she could never survive in. claudia as madeleine perceived her. resplendent. rendered even more beautiful by her beholder.” IM FUCKING INCONSOLABLE. HOW COULD YOU DO THIS TO ME
How never having seen a single Dan and Phil video feels right now
made this victuuri edit a while back but thinking about it again bc I miss them sm ㅠㅠ
BE MAD BE SAD BUT DONT U DARE GIVE UP
alright everyone
"I had the shot." A thought on Arcane S2E3
So I've seen some discussion about whether or not Caitlyn could've made the shot to take out Jinx without hitting Isha.
"I had the shot." "That was a kid, what if you missed?" "I wasn't going to miss.
People have used this as a basis for arguing that Vi shouldn't thave stopped Caitlyn - that she shouldn't have gotten in the way becasue Vi had previously urged Cait to take the shot if she had the chance, and because she's such a consistent shot it's likely that she wouldn't have missed. "Her whole thing is not missing."
I'm not here to debate whether or not she could've made that, but I am here to say that I don't think it matters. (Personally, I think it was possible but pretty doubtful - she'd just had that nasty fight with Sevika and been electrocuted hex-lectrocuted, plus we see her firing recklessly later when she strikes Vi's gauntlet and again when Vi grabs the barrel of her gun. Plus all the trauma with Jinx that we'd been seeeing earlier with the strike team.)
I'm also not here to hate on Caitlyn. She was finally facing down Jinx, the source of a lot of her trauma, and was being influence by a wide range of factors and emotions. I think that the wider context of her situation makes her focus on killing Jinx, to the point she disregards Isha's wellbeing and Vi's pleading, not excusable, but perhaps understandable.
But... what if she didn't miss?
Let's say she had the shot. Her plan was to execute Jinx like... right under Isha. Isha was clinging to Jinx's shoulders and neck. If Caitlyn shot Jinx here:
Well, in this particular frame Isha's head is behind Jinx's, so a headshot would likely take them both out.
But even if Isha wasn't in the line of fire. The thought of Isha watching her "big sister" taking a relatively close-range, high-powered headshot is... harrowing, to say the least. Jinx’s head would not stay in one piece, and Isha would have a front row seat to that.
Whether Caitlyn was going to miss or not, when she realized a kid was involved, Vi was absolutely right to stand down and try to intervene, especially as someone who has seen so much violent, personal loss.
All this to say - this is why saying that Vi should've let Caitlyn take the shot due to Caitlyn's marksmanship doesn't hold water for me.
adhd paralysis sucks bcuz im just sitting there and my brain is like
YOU ARE WASTING TIME YOU ARE WASTING TIME YOU ARE WASTING TIME YOU ARE WASTING TIME YOU ARE WASTING TIME YOU ARE WASTING TIME YOU ARE WASTING TIME YOU ARE WASTING TIME YOU ARE WASTING TIME YOU ARE WASTING TIME
no work done no rest gained. literally no point of this at all
just wanted to share these executive dysfunction comics i am so sorry to whoever drew them these have been saved on my phone for like 6 years
i just wanna point out that when she was trying to off herself in act 3, she most likely kept trying every single time because she thought he was a hallucination
she already hallucinated him once (don’t remember the episode, but you can hear his voice saying ‘jinx’ when she finds out isha is in stillwater)
she hasn’t seen him since the bridge scene (s01e07) when she set off a bomb, intending to off both him and herself (which she did because she was content with her last moments being with him but we won’t get into that rn)
so when ekko said that about blowing ‘us’ up, she likely realized if he was real, she would kill him if she set off the bomb
which is why she settled for jumping. hi. i hope everyone is as miserable as i am rn
also do you think ekko thought of alternate universe powder when he saw her with short hair
