My dream is to some day have a physical card catalog of the library. It would take a lot of work, but how cool would it be?!
I have finished 1/100 books for the year
She wasn't on my approved purchase list when I went into the used bookstore today (I had a battle plan!) but how could I pass her up? So this beaitifu little Lady of the Lake came home to live amongst her new friends in the library.
BOOK HAUL
It felt so good to be back in a bookstore, even if just for a moment.
Mass from the Library this week
Getting a head start on the "Season's Readings"!
Jane Eyre, Charlotte Bronte
Jane Eyre was published on this date (16 October) in 1847.
We made a new fleece-tie yesterday for the library. It gets cold up there early and stays cold until May or so, so keeping it well stocked with blankets is a must. If we got back into full lockdown out here again, we'll work on finishing the knitted patchwork we started in college.
Oh my gooooosshhhh library fans we have a STAINED GLASS WINDOW. THIS IS NOT A DRILL.
I cannot put into words how excited I am to have finally managed to score a copy of "The Last Unicorn - The Lost Journey". I've wanted to read this version for years and it is an essential part of the 2020 fantasy readathon. Comparing and contrasting it with the version I grew up with is an especially intriguing concept. I can't wait!!
Starting the 2020 reread of Jackson's Haunting of Hill House. A spooky and fun ride, in spite of Netflix's fumble with it.
We’re adding more shelves and they ARRIVED TODAY
(Also props to the FedEx guy who blocked the door with them so I had to play a skills challenge to get the door open and get them inside)
