I don't understand the concept of changing characters' personalities. Don't we like them precisely because they are the way they are? Why change that? I feel that some people are forgetting what Neo and Nulla are really like, and I miss seeing them in a more canonical way now 😔 This cute, nice Neo just doesn't feel right.

Someone sent this to me, and I think it’s important for me to speak up so that no one feels bad for creating something.
TEAG was made precisely so that you can take the characters and make them your own. The entire plot revolves around changing “owners” to keep existing (in Septem’s case) or taking this new owner to destroy everything the previous one built (in Nulla’s case).
You, the player, are constantly referred to as a creator or someone with enough power to change things.
And that is exactly what Yoon does with these AUs.
Honestly, I feel that Nulla, with how desperate he is for your attention and love, would be thrilled to be called yours and to receive so much affection through the art or writing you make of him in this AU.
Besides, this is how fandoms work. AUs and fan content are what keep a fandom alive or give the game even more life. More possibilities, more new ideas, more depth.

I want to make it clear that just because an AU exists, people are not going to start thinking differently about the characters in the game or get them confused.
