Train station goodbye
The station platform is almost empty few people take the evening train. The straps of my backpack take my breath away or maybe it's because I have to say goodbye to you? Messy kisses in unmade sheets have given way to the awkward embrace of two bodies on the watch. There are not many people, but it's already too much for me to dare to kiss you.
The train is there. "Don't forget to tell me when you arrive." "We will see each other soon" I reassure you. Twelve weeks and five days. You counted them. "Don't miss your train." Looks say I love you but the words get stuck. The fingers that don't want to let go finally let go.
It is June 5, 2020. And the fear of violence still hold back lovers to say goodbye on a station platform.
