Not cross stitch but a crochet Axolotl I made for a first birthday. I prefer cross stitching but the speed at which I can finish a crochet project is so satisfying. Meanwhile, I’ve been working on the same x stitch for months.

ITS DONE!

After 179 hours of stitching, too much black thread to count, and some very tired fingers, my Beleriand Map is complete!

But also not entirely complete, because I need to wash the pattern paper off and then quilt back it. This entire thing needs to go in my bathtub (it’s too big to fit in the sink!) and so I’m gonna be having nightmares tonight about it all falling apart when I go to wash it. It shouldn’t - it won’t - because that’s not how anything works, but my brain will still worry 😛
