Honestly one of my favorite aspects of Torchwood was the simple fact that they were the worst kept secret in Cardiff. They ordered pizza to their secret hideout under the name. Old people called their organization by name while annoyed with them. They got in public car chases and shootouts in fucking Wales. They drive around in a car with their secret organization name on it. Gwen discovered where their base was by asking around a bit. They use mindwipe drugs to try to cover their tracks and stay secret, they’ve wiped several thousand minds themselves, and they’re the only people in all of Wales unaware of how badly they already have failed at this.

2012 TMNT have such big and blocky hands that they could probably grab someone by their head and fully cover it. So if they wanted to shut someone up they could probably just shove the palm of their hands into said person’s face and it would muffle their speech fairly well.
