I’m gonna need the TikTok ppl who think the only complaint that others have about the odyssey movie is that it’s “not like epic” to simmer down a bit. Yes people are comparing it to epic. Most saying epic is a more faithful retelling. Is epic truly entirely faithful? Not at all. Is epic perfect? Not at all. But people are saying epic keeps vital plot lines and that is true. Nolan cut some of the most important plot lines to make the story more into a metaphor instead of what it truly is. Which is in fact interesting! I’m okay with that honestly. But yeah I don’t think it’s wrong of people to say that it’s not entirely accurate to the odyssey, or even completely historically accurate, when it’s not.
