Here’s the art work I made for my Native American Philosophy final project. It’s celebrating Dakota spirituality (by presenting depictions of origin stories and prayer) and highlighting the religious assimilation and persecution they’ve went through and still deal with today. If you have any questions about their specific inspirations lmk and I’d be happy to refer you to the books they came from so you can be properly educated on them from Dakota people.

Also, if you’re Dakota or Native American/Indigenous and any of these works seem inappropriate to you or offensive please don’t hesitate to let me know! I’ll take them down immediately and change them in whatever ways they need to be changed in order for them to be appropriate and unoffensive. Even if it’s an issue for me as a non-Native person to be posting these as a whole, tell me and I’ll take them down.
